    Starting order for today
The key feature of today's stage 10 is that the leaders of the three categories will start 'together'. Their starting order follows:In the motorcycle category, Price (KTM), Benavides (Honda), Svitko (KTM) and Quintanilla (Husqvarna) will be first out of the gate with 3-minute intervals between one and the next.Next up, the cars of Sainz (Peugeot), Van Loon (Mini), Hirvonen (Mini) and De Villiers (Toyota). After the first wave, Antoine Méo (KTM) will take off, followed by Nasser Al-Attiyah (Mini). This looks set to be a nail-biting stage.

Could it be that the 3-minute intervals is between the 'waves' of vehicles? (otherwise, there is no such wave to speak of)

Edit: Ignore me... I can see now further reference to Toby opening the piste so they can't have started 'together' as I had imagined

Like all other competitors, the leading riders took a 15-minute pause after CP3. Following the mandatory break, during which the riders cooled down in refrigerated trucks, the leaders are heading for the third dune belt, which will be the climax of today's stage 10.

Not to be outdone by the cars and motorcycles, the trucks are also putting on a lively show. Overall leader Gerard de Rooy is suffering. The Dutchman is only fifth, 14'12" behind the fastest time, posted by Russia's Nikolaev.

    Morning Guys,

20 pages and I can't tell what's going on, so off to work and I'll be back in a few hours after the cluster is clearer,

    What a disappointment.

Bolivian TV showed bikes starting one at a time and then two at a time, sometimes a bike and a quad together, and quads together. Then some cars.

Holy Guacamole!!!! I'm ASSuming other riders have already crossed. Should be some good videos later today. I've never ridden across anything that deep, far and fast. What's the best line - farthest upstream possible entry, then straight across or angled downstream?

Cars: Sainz stuck in the sand at the start of the second special
Today is not Carlos Sainz's lucky day. The overall leader had a flat earlier today and is reported to have lost an additional two minutes at the start of the second timed section (km 174).

    Cars: Loeb under way!
Sébastien Loeb has started stage 10. The nine-time world rally champion hopes to have an easier day after two nightmarish stages.

Would it not have been epic if TP came over to give a hand on wrenching Paulo's bike. :D

Should be interesting at the Team Peugeot in the Bivouac tonight if Peter takes back the lead from Sainz...

111 km into today's stage, things are starting to look up for Portugal's Paulo Gonçalves. The official Honda rider posted the third fastest time so far and took 1'41" back from Price (KTM), sixth in the provisional standings.

Štefan Svitks (KTM) seems unstoppable at CP4 (km 192). The Slovak posted the fastest time and expanded his lead over Australian Toby Price (KTM).

It feels like the Dakar....time gaps between riders is in minutes and not seconds :nod
