You called it as of today! Well almost.
ok, you're on your own this afternoon.
...all the dust settled down.
You guys got tired because of all that f5-ing you have done
I have taken a day off tomorrow....bloody work gets too much in the way in really important business like being here
Seems to be a changing of the guard! Nice to see all those rookies coming into their own and showing the speed and special skills to compete so well. They seem to be getting stronger as the Dakar comes to a close. I miss Kurt Caselli not being there. I think he could have become the next alien. But it is great to see other new talent rising to prominence.
It's gotten pretty quiet around here...
14:53 : Bikes: Yamaha in 4th and 5th
At the finishing line in San Juan, Helder Rodrigues and Adrien Van Beveren have finished wheel to wheel in 4th and 5th place on the day’s special, giving the Yamaha team a more than respectable grouped finish.
14:47 : Bikes: Meo climbs onto the virtual podium
Antoine Meo has accomplished a superb feat in the general standings thanks to his victory today. Having started the day 1’15’’ behind Pablo Quintanilla, he regained 2’48’’ on completion of the 430 kilometres of the day’s special stage. As a result, the Frenchman climbs onto the bottom step of the provisional podium in the general standings with a lead of 1’33’’ over the Chilean. But that’s not all: taking advantage of Stefan Svitko’s below par performance, 12’29 behind the stage winner, Antoine Meo is now only 8’23’’ behind the Slovak who occupies second place in the general standings. The battle over the last two days of racing promises to be exciting!
Blythe and Brabec both in the ASS...
106 - IAN BLYTHE(USA)
048 - RICKY BRABEC(USA)
I don't understand the words, but it seems like a good look at the bivouac scene...
Everyone is watching FRance4
Great...that's one of the things I cannot do from work here.
Just checking in and missing Corky. Did he start?
K Benavides is really dissapointed he got lost at the end of the stage, apparently he missed a turn and end up riding 10 extra km...
He had no issues beside that one, the bike is running fine, no falls, good pace which makes that mishap even more sad.
"chavo" Salvatierra: I ran out of (drinking) water when there was 100 km to go, I think I dehydrated, I'm very tired. My performance suffered a lot...
Looks like it's Toby's race to lose now. If he keeps his head about him, he's the winner.
Both 2nd and 3rd are still up for grabs!
Looks like Brabec should end up in the top 10! Great for the USA. And Ian is showing these last few days that he may be the real deal.
Little disappointing for Laia - some bad Dakar luck, and a few spills here and there.
Bummed for Speedy!!
Live from the rallye... Loeb on a rope...
