I was wondering about that. He should have showed up at WP11 just after Toby but didn't.

Peugeot is playing a smart game today. Cyril seems to be pacing Stephane as his wc. Stephane is taking his time and not jeopardizing his win. Mr Dakar :nod

What do you exactly mean? The old index page was named "live timing" too. Most people were active there. Thew live thing was called "live timing monitor". When I released the new site people clicked "live timing", because they were used to that and they suddenly saw the live monitor and were completely confused. I decided that it was best to keep "live timing" the waypoints. The live monitor is not official: it's a combination of a lot of data, often correct, but you never know. The die-hards should check both to be sure. So... live monitor is "yours", for the peeps who know what it is and how it works. 95% of the people will go for "live timing".

Could be. By my math at WP11 Pablo held third by 3 minutes over Helder. Wait and see.

Passing the field of slower riders that passed him while out of gas? Don't know if I'd call it a charge, more like up and running again...

Ah, that's more like it (+7m32s) - what with Ian running out of fuel and Alan losing his helmet, I really thought we'd had a glitch in the Matrix today!

    wins

The Yamaha team leader has done it: Helder Rodrigues has won today on the longest stage of the Dakar. The Portuguese rider had to go on all out attack to try and grab fifth place in the overall ranking and has stepped up to the plate. Now we will have to wait for the arrival of Kevin Benavides (Honda) to see if Rodgrigues' gamble has paid off.
