BOOOO HISSS!!!!!! what is wrong with her???????
I wouldn"t hold your breath waiting for a reply,he is probably on a plane as we speak
Loving see the Husky 125 motoring along well :)
Ok I have a question so do the riders get the next days roll chart each evening when arriving bivouac (in NORRA Mex 1k we got all 5 days at once day before race started and yes I know its a fun race and not Dakar) but am curious
Got my Rally Pan Am t shirt in mail today so woohoo
Go go go Brabec, Bright, Blythe, Smith and Giterre
And thanks all you f5 experts so far for all the awesome info
Tomorrow night is the night the bikes go into a parc ferme? If so then saving tires, etc is a big part of the stage...no one will be wot. Cool they added this, prevents tire swaps between folks and their wc's (unless top guys circumnavigate the rules like they always seem to do).
No photos from the soggy bivouac? Should be raining down hard all night...not ideal before a marathon stage. The specials havent seemed to be terribly demanding but I'd assume the weather has played a factor is wearing people down....along with the 1000-+ km's of slab they have ridden. Poor Manny, no windshield and rain riding....thats gotta suck
Yup, the roadbooks are given out one day at a time.
And each night, along with the roadbook are the amendments the competitors need to cut and tape into the roadbook. Somedays more changes than others.
Roadbooks are pre printed before the event, amendments are printed in the bivouac, based on the "zero cars" recon a day ahead of the race. My understanding is only some of the route is pre driven, some doesnt need to be (dunes, etc which can be visually inspected from a heli).
his arrival will be met with the sound of crockery hitting the wall....

D99. but I"m here now honey,we can win this thing together
LS. you really believe that?
D99. of course honey, just put the torque wrench down
OK - that's a good start so here's the rest of the "O-fishul" blurb re Stg 4, from http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2016/us/stage-500/day-s-route.html
Bike/Quad Map (No clue why it doesn't say Car, too)
Latest blurbs from Dakar.com:
And 1st Start is shown as 0630 but, again, no SS start times are shown yet, so with a 200km Connection to DSS, I'm gonna guess 1st Bike away at 0900.
I think it's my profile pic, needs more "sexy"
How about video?
Ah man...that looks horrible. Argentina is supposed to be baking hot, sunny, etc....beer drinking weather. I wonder how many people even packed rain gear...
well, then fix it!!!!!
All the Aussies must have missed this, after all the theorising on Tobys dropped time turns out it was just as simple as the above. Some things are more important than a stage win or a couple of minutes, especially when minutes are so easy to get back in the coming days. I know whenever I've had a near miss it slows me down and gets me thinking too.
He probably was asking himself if it wasn't too much to ask to ensure a clear race track for a couple of hours.
Aside from that I still haven't heard a negative interview from Toby.
Why bring rain gear when you can just pick it up on route...
I think we need to rethink Sylvain and his 125 as being Malle moto. I was beginning to doubt it as I've never seen him in the pics of the Malle moto pit area. It's always the same old faces and bikes. Combine that with every time I see his photos he seems to have his own set up.
ROJO got a 47min penalty what would he need to do to get thst much time added?
Yep. Looks that way.
Maybe the RMS guys know more...
