Is there a good guide to all the different folks racing floating around on the internet? Basically, who is terrible and who should I be rooting for?

Agree, I'd like to see Gonk take one for the team.
I'd also like Toby to podium again. Marc will be missed for sure.

So, Go Sam (fingers crossed for a start)
Go Toby, and Gonk for the win...
    (I like consistency)

Don't see too much wrong, but we all seem to be forgetting Quintanila! - 4th last year and was potentially up to win the World Championship until he had an accident on the penultimate day in Morocco and blew it.
He was consistent all season, fast with good navigation and won in Chile - and although that was his home turf, it still has to be done!

I believe he hurt his hand in Morocco, but that should be ok by Jan and if so, don't count him out.

Bah! Whats all this talk of Gonk winning?

I think we would all really prefer to see Helder take the top step next year...

Thought you'd start a new thread Troy and reseed these happy first pagers in a reverse posting order...thus making this the first post. If FIM can do it so can the F5orce

Expect less from me, I have a other agenda.

Ohh, now, it is a BB box environment. So copy/paste is no option. Also not only pc screen layout, it shuffle the data. (Just see the old page, how it looks like now).

@misc Mischa, I believe, after 2015 contact France to speak with ASO, what is changing?

No love for Jordi Viladoms? Something tells me the cagey veteran will be standing on the top step this year. Then Gonk, then Walkner.

Cars will be Nassar on top, Peterhansel, and then another Mini (who really cares which)

Robby would have been first if it weren't for.....

If they both finish without issues then it has to be Gonk - JV will be steady around 6th/7th on a daily basis, but at the end of the 2 weeks that average could very well give him a step to stand on!

On equal machinery, with an equal team structure I would agree, but Honk rides for HRC, I never underestimate their ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

Nani Roma has a decent chance. Cars will be exciting to watch this year. Peterhansel is the obvious choice for second place BUT the car is very unproven. Same goes for El Matador. Of course first place is as much of a given as is possible in a Dakar. Nasser has been on fire for the last couple of years and seems unbeatable.I dare say alien.

Seems half of the WRC who's who is coming to Dakar, should be fun to see how they manage. Loeb in particular.

Mudboy and his roadbook master co pilot, should be fun to watch.

The Toyotas have an impressive lineup this year.

Is this year Mini gets dethroned? Maybe

Bikes....awesome as a spectator that the aliens retired. Its been a long time since first place has been up for grabs :nod

All in all this should be one heck of an exciting race to follow.

Lots of North Americans bikes to follow as well and a handful of inmates, always makes for awesome F5ing.

Stoked....January cant come fast enough :pynd
