I'm a bit worried about that Critter guy. He seems to know it all. I hope he does well.

MD or f2r have something against Aurora? Smells like "ROADBOOK-GATE!".

Jokes aside, sorry to hear D :(

    Great post Neil! :thumb

The malle moto guys are the ones I spend hours and hours hitting F5 for; waiting up until all anxious hours of the night.

Seems that Yamaha and KTM RR is the bike of choice for MM

Thanks a lot Troy and thanks to everybody who contributed already! I just activated the new server, so the old urls should point to the new server already or at least soon. You need help with the urls?

The screen shot I posted is from the ASO's iOS app for 2016 there is a link posted TSC or Myway somewhere in the begining of one of the locked threads or you can search dakar 2016. There happened to be an post about the merzouga rally, there are putting up filler content to keep us occupied before the race starts. If you do the math from the time posted using the timer at the bottom which is just below the text: "OFFICIAL START - Dakar 2016" you'll find it is counting down for us :clap

    it now says 11hrs 02 min 45 sec!!!! :clap:clap:clap:clap it's almost here!!

FWIW, the app is a pain to read on a phone because the text is tiny and not set up to zoom but its better than nothing when you don't have access to a computer

Rumors to the contrary, the garf's still alive and kicking, just not quite so high or so often. :gerg
At friends' ranch, safe behind a big gate during Amateur Hour which, here, means open season for the Gendarme to enrich their coffers thru guile and trickery through Monday, Civil Rights be damned, and with two bikes ("bananaman's/Jenny's" 500EXC and the dirty 625 SMC) ready for the New Year's Day ride. MiFi signal in & out, 1G <->3G, so ?????

Waaaay behind on the prep threads, as in no clue - got a life and a new (rescue) doG and more bikes.
Let the festivities begin. :ricky :beer :happay

Edit: I'm wearing my Corky jersey which arrived Wednesday and I collected from the PO yesterday, and I'll be Corky-sticker-ing the bikes once it gets light enough.

    Happy New Year, Y'all!!! :wings

The word from people on the ground is that there are a lot of problems with customs in Argentina. Whatever was air freighted seems to be ehm.... Let s say that if it's not that important, it will just stay there or freighted back. It will be interesting to check and see if Sherco will have the spare engines they need. I heard that they needed five figure numbers in customs...
So, another lesson learned here, better to have everything in that bloody ship!
