hey guys Brandon on the DR here, sandblast was yet again a total blast!

my day definitely didn't go as planed, myself and Dale missed the first stage all together....oops, motor slap worn out, but still i enjoyed the heck out of it! there is no replacement for the feeling of pitching the bike sideways into a corner full opposite lock absolutely as fast as you can go and sandblast is the only place i get to do that.

does anyone have any good pics or videos or know where i can find some. i did the typical google/YouTube search, but haven't come up with much , i would appreciate it if someone could direct me to some pics and videos of the bikes.

I had a great time talking and riding with you guys, Bill, Bobby, Mahlon, Dave, Dale, all of you and hope we can get up and rid together soon again.

Stryker is going through his photos currently...has quite a few, and they look really sweet so far! Here's one that made it up so far from Matt of me going through the puddle on SS1, and Joe Warner in the background:

Wow, does it ever look wet!! Reminds me of the very first Sandblast I rode back in 2010. It was drenching rain and everything was thick goo and puddles. I think I went down at least a hundred times!

Do you really need a rally bike to to this? I didn't see any major jumps or whoops.

Couldn't you just do this on like a Ducati Scrambler or street tracker type bike just as well?

I wouldn't say "just as well".. but Actually, a Tiger and a Versus finished this year, as well as a 1200GS. So, yeah, hah, anything just might finish. Some things are a might bit easier than others, is all.

Wow, so, I'm like almost 2 years late editing and upload this, but here's everyone crossing the creek on Campbell Lake Reverse. I was marshalling up the hill and stuck a gopro on one of the posts. Got some cool shots.

    Thanks.

If you want to compare to the cars hitting the same crossing, I just uploaded some video of that too.

That’s crazy just how much faster the bikes are (in this one spot).

Any chance you picked up the course opening cars on your gopro that year? I was driving the 000 (black Ford F150) and that crossing snuck up on me. I think I hit it faster than some of the rally cars. Perry on the 00 bike said he could got a good look at the under carriage of my truck when I went through.
