Does anyone know where I would go to watch it online? Is there going to be a stream somewhere?
Not sure about a stream but there will be a firehose :)
I assume you mean watch, as in a broadcast video show of most of the event rather than reading a text forum thread.
In that case, until ASO/FIM or redbull.tv step up to run a live stream, it will be the usual poor combination of pics, FB posts, YouTube clips, pirated Eurosport synopses and possibly an untranslated Spanish, Argentinian stream.
Mediocre coverage for English speakers, given the epicness of the event, in my humble. The Baja 1000 is in an even worse state, coverage-wise.
I speak Spanish, so you wouldn't happen to know of any Spanish streams? Por favor?
There will certainly be a "Dakar Media" thread in here where generous folks like Myway will point to several options. Using Hola and VLC it has been possible to get Teledeportes coverage that will daily show you the aprox 30 min ASO programme, the contributions of their own spanish journo folkowing the race plus half an hour of studio Dakar talking.
TV broadcast channels France TV
France TV (French) are the first that day with live TV, mostly around the time where the cars supposed to be finishing.
Then the other TV channels from there own country.
teledeporte but to soon
As CarlosM said, watch for the Myway thread. In years past there was a ton of Argentinian TV coverage... multiple hours per day IIRC.
Would I be able to stream it from my chromebook? Or would I need to geta laptop or computer that has VLC? Also is the Myway thread just a thread that another Inmate starts?
^ Don't know about Chromebook... the link is probably an RTMP link... so you can figure out if your hardware works for that. VLC is free and works great if you have a computer.
There will be an official thread about where to watch, started by user Myway.
Last year if you have Apple TV then you have the RedBull TV channel on there. They had two updates each day "Dakar Daily" and "Dakar Extra". In fact last years are still out there to watch. Pretty good coverage. Not live but still good.
You have two weeks to setup a stream to us eu and aus
RTVE.es has one of the best world wide daily shows in my opinion.
Y pues por que es fox seria facil a encuentrar un enlace que tiene la grabbacion que no? Si tienes uno me lo puedes mandar?
I'll look into it thank you!
In the paste 2015 schedule is mostly stayed the same, I use VLC is was easy to explain you could make screen shots, and play live streams.
Search for streams go to search engine google or duckduckgo and then search for extension .m3u8 or url begin rtmp and set the search period to one week, than with the TV station name and look for it. Popup of stream indexes. copy and paste by hand in VLC and try. Then you could make a playlist .m3u file download a old one how to set up and open in notepad you see the scheme.
The working ones place them here. full stream url and station you found.
These are the station to look for
Or a search word latin latino
Here we go, in the new thread but need some info from you guys also. Must be tweaked.

Any luck on a working Eurosport 1/British Eurosport 1 stream?
The Eurosport1 channel included with the playlist above appears to be an advertisements only loop.
Thanks in advance,
