Wow, that is an impressive cross-category bike. Weight, true street legal, price point.

A bit much for a 125 but it's street legal and not many others around me will be willing to by one so I'll probably find a good deal next year

I wrote them last year trying to get one, they said never. Hmmm. I hope its really coming here!

I started a thread about these back then too. Most will have no interest but it looks like a hoot.

Any idea what kind of HP this 125 will produce?

My frame of reference for small singles is my old air cooled 2 valve XT250 which put out around 17HP.

If this would put out similar HP, it would be an awesome bike.

Im going to speculate around 15-17 HP as I recall thinking a pipe and tune might get it to 20-21 pretty easily. Based in the differences in engine power delivery in a Ninja 250 to a 300, and in a 250/460 motocross bike from carbed to injected, Id think the FI 125 thumpers would be pretty much right there with older CV carbed 250 DS bikes. Lighter and no carby lag.

This might be coming at some point too.

    I think it looks cool.
Though, probably right. Not a ton of people will be interested. But might make a nice bike for the Mrs.

But its not a turd so..... Theres that.

You have seen my love of true small bores. The 125f would be a hoot, as would a 50-80cc twanger. Light and slow instead of heavy and sloooooow like you know what.

Never been a Yamaha hater son. Just a hater of guys who love to ride fast gravel, and think they can win the Erzberg rodeo on a WRR.

Irregardless of manufacturer of the motor, this looks to be an interesting concept that should make somebody a great little bike here in the states as there aren't many options like it. The Beta website says that the engine is an Italian built unit, but it looks to be the same as the WR125R engine.

SWM has that SWEEET prototype too! Great category! The works style Champion Editions with high end suspension would be a riot. Who built those? Gas Gas? Aprilia?

Derbi I think has the premium editions. Might be wrong but Id love to get one.
