Was in the club 06-09. It was always fun setting up and helping with the event.

This will be my first year as a participant.

No. As far as I know the High Mountain Dual Sport is the only event organized by the Penguins. It used to be enduro style decades ago.

Did it in 2010 before the seesaw went in. The tri-tip lunch was very good. Ate so much I couldn't do the hard splits in the afternoon.

Watch out for riders parked in the middle of the trail. Not good while riding fast...

Got this on my radar, but probly less than 10% chance I can make it :bluduh

    As it happens...
I was course steward for the last High Mtn Enduro that got canceled by greenies about a week before the event. Shirts and everything already bought and paid for, so we (Penguins) were pretty much broke. Scrambled to turn the event into a dual-sport and had a dozen or so locals show up.

Course steward again for the first official dual-sport the following year. Lots of fun blazing trails on the ranches out near Creston. Without those generous ranchers, would be really hard to put together enough dirt miles in the area. Also got permission to run ramp to ramp on Pismo Beach. Not sure if they ever did that again.

Been back to do it a couple times, but the last time was ~10 yrs ago.
