Ahh, yes, yes. He explained that himself here in the Pre event thread
Inmate Chavo CP1 20 nice.
If tomorrow is as dusty as the org is bragging about...some of those top riders in 15-25 place are going to lose some time.
Next bivouac ready and are waiting, yet.
4 hours to go when toby comes.
Chavo in ASS 19
"Unless of course it turns to mud"!! - but would that actually be worse for trying to make up time?
LIVE: Belangstelling bij de finish: twee honden#Dakar
Ondrej Klymciw (#45) good move forward today - currently on 26th. place (started from 45. place)
Jakub Platek fall in fisrt stage, nothing serious though (he finished 3m 44 secs after Xavier)
hi Tomas ,ako to ide,so it started Stefan and Ivan going solid ,Ondrej is going to be right there and day by day making progres .its nice to see czech bikers in such bunch.
It´s quite nice to see 5 czech, 2 slovak riders in bikes category and Josef Machacek again (!) in quads.
Currently 17th - is that a bit of a disaster for Toby considering the riders in front? - At Atacama he started way back on day one and fought to the front, but this may be more difficult?
Having nobody infront of him today must have been a disadvantage as he would never know how he was doing?
I believe it was posted on the other thread. Don't know exactly what happened but it's just a pity, especially the new chief in charge of the Italian Federation is an active offroad and rally rider
Mud is like sand, get churned up. Huge advantage being first
Josef is there again ,nice, good vibes .
Apart from having to navigate and having no tracks?
Tomorrow they have a 600km straight road liaison witch is the most boring thing I´ve done in a motorbike. There are millions of butterflies and they collapse the radiator. I was riding a 990 and have to stop to remove some of them because the bike was getting really hot. It´s not a joke.
The rookie Daniel Nosiglia Jager Bolivia did a good job --- 18 ---
It might be first stage of a 12 stage race, but its only a few km out of thousands to come. Dropping a minute and a bit means nothing. Even being behind a 5 or 10 minutes at the rest day is not a big deal, as when shit gets real, people will be making up or losing serious time on the big stages.
Itll take a few days for leader board to sort itself out. After the rest day, thats when minutes here and there will start to really count.
