2017 DR650 Rear Damper Warranty Issues...

    The problem isn’t with the Cush rubbers
    The problem seems to be a poor design that misaligned where the bearing on the sprocket carrier is located. This causes the rocking that compresses cush rubbers quickly.
    Mines a 2011 same issue
    There are folks that will remachine the carrier to allow it to hold two bearing side by side, eliminating the rocking effect
    Check out @motolab he’ll fix you up.
    It’s been a known DR issue for quite some time

    I’m glad I didn’t know about this when we rode two bikes 14,000 miles in one continued trip. They may have failed!
