she needed some company
Now that’s a real off-road bike. Excellent move, besides, the multi is just to dang purty to get dirty.
I love my 501, the low end grunt and power make up for my lack of skill
Man, as much as I can’t wait for spring to come, I sure do love the BRP in winter. No traffic, hardly anybody but local riders and even the Park Rangers lay low. If you catch a day in the 50’s with little wind and brilliant sunshine it just doesn’t get any better for ripping twisties on a sport machine.
.So Lucky keeping posting I may load mine in the back of the truck and come for a visit
2019 model Getting rave reviews as the best Multistrada, something you all knew already.
Especially the S model with the electronic suite.
Now back on my wish list
Powerlet is just one brand name. They are also known as Hella DIN (or DIN Hella), BMW or Merit sockets.
Thanks... didn't know that!
My favourite is still the 950 (non S) model
In case any of you guys are interested
Well folks it was nice talking to you. but I am outta here . i got rid of the 950 for one of its Austrian cousins, back where I belong . One reason was it just wasn't dirt worthy enough and I was surely going to wreck it. Second thing is I just cant drink the Ducati vino. It was such a pleasure to pick up the KTM owners manual that can almost be called a workshop manual, all the specs and procedure s most people need Ducati's philosophy of having to build a business on having riding enthusiast bring everything to the dealer for everything from adjusting your chain to belt and valve service just doesn't work for me.Fantastic bike just not my thing Orange cool aid is easier to swallow I have drank it 5 times now .Cheers ride well enjoy your Ducs
So long, ride safe.
Best of luck devildogg, I hear you about the dirt. I’ve said all along, this ain’t no bush bike. I must admit I’m torn between the Desert Sled and the new 790 R but lean heavy on the sled for its road characteristic. I wouldn’t give up the Multi though for its brilliance in rip-Touring on twisties. Hope you got your money’s worth while you had her.
Wish I could warm up to orange...
Thanks yah the 1090 isnt near as nice on the road if only i could afford both lol that aint happening the deal on the 1090 was hard to refuse I guess there making room the790s Cheers DD
My two cents, My 2018 950 MTS rocks. As for dirt ridding if you equip it with the goods, out side of clearance it can keep with any. I paid less for my 950 then GS850. Better clearance on the GS, not by much, but the Ducati is much more comfortable, for the long haul, and can get to any place the GS can. Many say why would you take a Ducati off road? Why not? They cost no more they comp KTMS & GS BMW's. So why not. The 1260 enduro is proven, the 950 is basically the same bike smaller engine with out the off road clearance. The 950 is very competent, just hose it off when done.
Pictures of enduro set ups for the 950MTS. This is a very capable and competent machine.
