Maybe the Desert X concept?
I bet it is a fasthouse special edition from their mint 400 win.
I recently had an off while riding a rally here in florida and dented the tank and broke the steering stop. I guess I will own this bike forever now since it would be "totalled." Really bummed but I suppose crashes are a part of bike life
Here are the pics of the sled after the rally.
I bent my brake lever, broke the turn signal switch, broke the steering stop, dented the tank and dented/scratched my brand new slip on in one high side. Just the way it goes sometimes!
Do we have the Desert X coming???
Where was the tank dented?
The rider does have the fast house racing shirt on!
ckomatz argh that sucks. i hope you are OK though.
Ι thought it could be the Desert X and posted in the Desert X thread but it was a long shot...it will be a fasthouse special edition of the sled...
check the instagram teaser...
It was dented right underneath the plastic shroud where the right fork hit the tank. I only noticed it when I was washing the bike today.
I am okay, a little sore but my heart was hurt more than my body lol
Wow. That was definitely a hard break of the fork stop! Btw, I switched my back tire to the reg Pirelli scorpion rally (non STR) and found the off road grip much more confident, especially in sand, rocky gravel/limestone, and mud. The front STR has always worked fine for me. I like the good asphalt grip (even in rain) and off road I haven't had issues of it swimming around. Florida has some tight single track, but I assume that wasn't where you were for the enduro. Glad to hear you are ok!
I'm really hoping they offer the extended tank range, and Lighter would make this a serious off road bike. If that happens, expect quite a few to show up on the resale board, including mine. :)
Yes the stock tires are not the best for offroad. But I am a mostly road rider only 1500 of my 11000 miles have been off road.
It was a crappy section in goethe state forest that caught me out. I heard one other rider had a much more serious crash there.
Total disappointment! Just a paintjob. not even a 21" front wheel...
i was hoping for the same...
just another so called limited edition: 800 „fast house“ models world wide.
would not have meant a hell of an investment to put in larger wheels, a bigger tank and maybe the 1100 cc engine.
i keep on waiting for the desert x then...
Hello? Ducati? If you really want to dominate the Scrambler market you could literally do it overnight with mostly off the shelf components.
Ι think a 21-18 would be fine. but the Fasthouse edition used the Earle link...and that may be not legal. A real scrambler has to be light so the 1100 would be too heavy...The Desert X is an adventure bike not a scrambler bike.
I love the look of the DS, however, I am 5'6 and with a 28" inseam. I actually sat on the DS at the D'Moto here in SATX but can't remember if I even touched the ground. I am thinking of getting the UE just because of the height, and it kind of has the DS look to it.
I currently own the ICON but looking for that Enduro look that the DS and UE have.
Would you say it's too high to manage out in the real world. I currently also have a BMW G310GS and claims to have a 32+ seat height, in the garage I can manage it well, but when I take it out, I'm sweating balls.
I'm 5'6 with slightly longer inseam, 30 on a good day. I'm on the tip of my toes but have gotten used to it. I just shift my body to one side on stop lights, and flat foot on one side. When parking I just get off and wheel the bike into place. I had a hypermotard before that. Can't remember the last time I flat footed a bike...
They could at least have added the kick ass skid plate they designed for the Mint 400.
