It's not real rain round there anyway.
The water is warm, the ground stays warm and it stops raining the same day it started.

Once it stops, the ground is dry again with an hour and so are you.

I agree whats been said, live tracking would be cool and could be helpful to the riders.

We left at 5:30 AM. Having lunch at the Chevron in Sparta, GA. That's about 220 miles so far. Stuck in mud for about 1.5 hrs. to go about 100 yards. We each fell twice in that slick stuff. Front fenders packed. Garrett's worse than mine. I lifted mine 3/4 inch and that surprisingly makes a difference. Used the hatchet twice! Garrett got hung up on a log after we got locked in a mine and had to cut through woods. Pictures later.

Tyre levers are great for removing mud from under front fenders. I keep one in the side pouch of my luggage for quick access.

Currently on the TAT with a mate, slightly off track in Norwood, CO for a rest day. We started at Andrews TN on the 24th July. One DR650 and one 690 Enduro. Plenty of mud in AK and OK, very slow going. Afternoon storms all through TN, MS, CO so far. Looks like you'll reach us heading into OR, will be sure to say hi. Good luck!

Garrett's front fender was making noise so we stopped and he snapped it back together. Added some air to the rear too.
We're almost to Ashland near I-85 North of Athens. Odometer says 357 miles.
