Just an FYI: Can someone confirm this?
I haven't verified but why loose precious time?
    Known issues with Sam track:
    PS.
I rode this section today. Unfortunately, there is no issue here. If there ever was a bridge out, they did a fine job fixing it. And I know that doesn't happen in this area, that fast
Anyway, trails are dusty with no traffic but bicyclists and tourists.
By tourists I mean idiots who like to round blind corners in my Lane.

Garrett's heat shield keeps sliding down so we are putting a couple of those steel zip ties to good use. Through the shield and around the hangar.
Bit by bit I am getting him to carry more stuff from my bike. [IMG]

Fixin' to head out in a bit. Just need to wait for this repair to set up.

Fender took a beating last night - sounded like someone dropped the silverware into the garbage grinder.

JB plastic weld and a zip tie to hold it while it cures.

Garrett's theory is that if we go fast enough we won't collect the mud.
Of course, yesterday's theory was that we could get to Tellico Plains before midnight. :imaposer

Epic journey, that mud would go in my "not going to do it" department.

Once you run out of JB plastic weld, you can pick up some ABS pipe glue at the local hardware store. Ive used it to close cracks, and when additional strength is needed, you can use a piece of aluminum or fiberglass window screen to reinforce it. Wet the area and let it soften the surface, press in the fabric and wet the top. Works great.

Thanks. We just got to Chatsworth, GA and are stopping for the day. There is a hardware store in town, but we will probably be gone before they open.
I didn't let that JB set long enough. Gave it an hour, but it was still soft an hour after that when the front fork bottomed out amd it gave way.
Had to do the McGyver thing.
Stitched it up with some safety wire.
To make the holes we used that little screwdriver and a lighter. That held all day, but I have to do something more.
Thinking about trimming the end off.[IMG]

Someone mentioned doing Witt Rd in the dark. I'm not good with road names, but we did this crossing today at noon and I think this might be Witt.
At any rate, the water wasn't too high. Lower than it was at March Moto Madness. [IMG]

The weather was enjoyable all day until 6:30 PM - when we found out that both Giant Loop tank bag map pockets are not waterproof.
    All day was forest trails.
Someone dumped 10 years worth of gravel on a few miles of trail. It was just like riding sand - just a bit harder to get going fast enough to stay on top of it... and the hairpins... well, those were fun.

So we stopped at Vic's Auto Parts for lunch around 2 PM.
The sign says auto parts but it is now a quickie mart.
We eat out front amidst a wide variety of "stuff" lying around. A garden tractor, broken down car, bottles, cans... stuff.
We get done and put our garbage in a bag.
Garret asks "Where's the garbage can?" To which I reply "I think we're standing in it."
We chuckle and I take the bag inside and hand it to the cashier after asking where the garbage goes and receiving her reply that she will take it.
I go outside and suit up.
As we are getting on the bikes, she opens the door and tosses the bag I just gave her out with the other "stuff."
I took off quick lest I start laughing before the bike is gyroscopically stable and I end up dropping it.

I think this would be an opertune time for a smart ass " tractionator" comment.
