Nice sutures, you could be a surgeon.

Santa knows GA riders like gravel, but why did he come in August?
I rode that section today; the gravel was marble sized too, just the right size to take out a heavy Africa Twin or two.
Glad to see you guys rockin' on.

About 200 more miles of dirt and gravel trail on the tires from yesterday.
    Departing.
About 5 hrs. rest after cleaning up and pizza last night.

Breakfast and fuel at the Pilot Travel Center near Trenton, GA.

    Rained all morning.
Several deer ran from us this morning.
There was a tree down across a gravel road. The bikes barely fit under with windshield scraping.

Fog slowed us down a bit but looks like smooth sailing now all the way to Oregon! (Some of my friends suggest I am an optimist) [IMG]

Yes that's Witt, I was a bit off on location. And yes it's a bit low, good for you. Also looks like you entered it from the side instead of the main entrance which was smart. Great job boys. Question, if you're only going to sleep for 3 hrs wouldn't it be faster to pull over, pitch tent, unpack, pack up and go as apposed to riding to a nearby hotel, checking in, unload, reload and ride back to the starting point? I know beds are comfortable but so is a sleeping pad. Great job BTW!

That's where I went down. Two riders ahead of me I didn't let the muddy water settle and those petrified ruts knocked me down

Two choices : 1. Have enough speed to stay in the rut or 2. Fall. Once you're in you cannot turn.

Way to go Ken & Garrett!!

Looking at the custom track from Savannah GA to the start of TAT,I don't think they want to take the easy route. Better for us, just following.

Pretty cool that you are doing this! I can appreciate the craziness of what you are doing, for sure. If you need anything when you are near Telluride, near Ophir Pass, shoot me a PM.
