Hi guys! I'm looking for a front fender riser kit for my 2018 800 XCA. I need more clearence to the front rubber since switching to knobbies. Touratech used to sell one, but doesn't anymore. Does anyone know if they are still being made by someone? Or another solution maybe? Thanks in advance!
Not possible without risking to break your front fender, which is the reason that for example Touratech doesn't sell it anymore. If bottoming out the front fork there are just a few mm space left. You could maybe rise it by 3mm, but that's about the maxium.
If the 2018 fender is the same shape as the 2017 you can cut the tip back an inch or inch and a half and you'll pick up a bunch of room at the front. At the back the clearance is already a bit taller. You can see mine here about 4 min into part 1: https://advrider.com/f/threads/my-2017-tiger-800xcx-mods-video.1379693/
I did my 2015 XCX a while back, no issues or regrets. I got the low riser kit. However, I also upgraded my suspension with heavier springs and value tuning to match, so this bike does not bottom out.
