I was at the track for that, the CRF didn't look to be on par with the rest of the field, finished 2nd last in qualifying.

The Triumph Street Twin that was in the Super Hooligan class smoked every other machine, winning by a 1.7 second gap in a 5 lap race, but unfortunately it didn't start in the finals.
The rider had some kind of mechanical failure on the starting grid, super disappointing.

If Steve Nace runs his program at Barberville during March Bikeweek 2018 you might not want to waste your $$$ at DIS and go watch some kickass FT racing in B'Ville

With the narrow area they have to work with it will be another pile of shit. My big hope was they would go back to the short track, it is still there. How many teams are willing to spend 49k +49k for back up ?

It's raised international interest in flat track, so, yes. Many give many rat's asses. It draws eyes to the sport in a positive way.

There are at least 4 or 5 teams who either have their orders in or already have their Indians. The bikes are $39K for qualified teams BTW...
Cost to build a competitive twin is not far off this number and the Indian appears to be pretty well sorted out of the box. The real question will be what is the maintenance/ reliability over the course of a season.
