It can also swing the other way with ripped track, too many tracks and the sand/dunes heating up.

I knew the bikes were fast and the lead riders are 4 flavours of insane, but seeing Aubert faster to WP1 than Mikko Hirvonen is just mind bending to me. I didn't realise they were that fast

AUBERT: Two time World Enduro Champ and three overall fastest ISDE's will do that to you... in sandy off piste camel grass and dunes.

I am suprised given the conditions that Hirvonen in the MINI 2WD is as fast as the moto's...

and after CP1 (it appears from the ASO map) that the cars/bikes alternate to different routes... so from there on - comparisons are fruitless.

Stop dreaming man.... you know I'm not ASO right :lol3

Open the bubbles graph and replace "bikes" with "all" in the url like this:

    http://trackingdakar.nl/en/stage-11/all/wp2/tracking-2/

Navigation won't work as it thinks you are navigating within the (earlier) specified class, but I'm sure you won't bother. At least there is something you can still dream about :-)

Why? Because it was a small effort and because of the overwelming support. Thanks all!!!!

OK, Dakar continues, after yesterday´s bitter taste of many injuries (specially the ones I was following like Luciano B, and AVB who is well know for us in Argentina as he raced here several times, I even competed in same race as him, Enduro del verano), and Overall shake up, in last part of the special, when Kevin was building a good margin at the lead before the last das in Dakar, now it is time for him to recover. He can get 2nd spot and wait for some another inimaginable outcome from Walkner or his KTM.

The first section leaves the DSS and immediately heads off to a riverbed. It's very twisty with high walls. It's not ideal car type stuff as it's just corner after corner.

Misc, I'm sure I missed this somewhere previously; What's the difference between tracking-2 and tracking-3?

Bom dia 112! As long as the heli could stand the extra payload, why would it be impossible?

The last number is the rider you want to track. It's the rider number the bubbles are based on. It will find and track the rider in the field. If you replace it by live-tracking it will show you the end of the field at the specified waypoint:
