The barrel cactus on this canyon wall were pretty unusual.
The picture is not as vivid as seeing it. (like most of DV)

Not sure if ya can make out all the UTV/side-by-sides to the right in the picture.
Must have been about 15 of them lined up.
They were refueling from the white truck parked there.

    Yo.

I mentioned my DR350 troubles to several of you over the event. Well today I finally got the time to drag my welder out (I had the oil pressure inspection port plug's allen head strip out, I had to weld the 8mm socket to it to remove) and tested it today!

That's at operating temperature at idle! I even pulled the hose off the gauge to see if it was a bad gauge and I barely get a trickle out of it. This wonderful pressure is like this off idle and when giving it revs. Yay for 100% splash lubrication! Note that these results were not really unexpected although I was expecting at least a couple psi of pressure! Guess it's time for a rebuild.

Hmm, methinks that a bit more than just an oil pump rebuild is in order...

Oh yeah. At 28 years old and 17k hard miles it needs a full rebuild. What I really need to do is pick up a big bike to handle my commute to save this little bike for DVNR and the like (highway is okay then, too, but if I'm just going out for fun I don't have to push as hard as getting to work).

raffle value wise, think it's over $15K. there are those who won and many are not too lucky.

    actually WE ALL WON.....:clap

we were able to raise $5,610 from the raffle tickets sale.

likewise, migilito did good by peddling his junk and raised $405. thanks to all those who donated their used/new gear/stuff to the pile.

last sunday at warped (kernville), the noobs handed $1K to SOS. i'll get the rest of the $ out.

    Sunday (3/25)

Looks like I have a few pics leftover from sunday...

No plans to ride this last day at PSR, just taking my time pack up and head home.

Before leaving, I spent some time on camp cleanup duty and also spent some $$ over at the Mosko Moto van.

Just about to roll out when I found Geoff and Joel preparing to retrieve the radio repeater up on Hunter Mtn.
    Can I tag along? :deal

Has been a long time since I traveled Hwy190 on 4 wheels :scratch
    [IMG]

At South Pass looking down into Panamint Valley.

Left the Jeep and started hiking up to find the repeater.

(Technically, Hunter Mtn. peak is across the road.)

    There it is :thumb

Hauling that box back down to the Jeep was work. Big thanks to the guys who hauled it up there :clap

Back down to PSR and time to head for home :(
