There was someone on ESPN's comments about the Chiefs/Patriots game calling for the Saints to play the chiefs instead of the pro bowl game. Probably impossible but a neat idea. It sure as hell would attract more viewers, and it would shut up about half the country. I bet some of the players would love to play the game, if it had some worth.
Defense has been ruled illegal in the no fun league.
Ace Davis won his school's science fair with a project that proves that deflated footballs gave Tom Brady a competitive advantage.
lol. granted the kid is 10 years old but that’s what passes in public schools for science?!
From 1960 to 1969 there was the Bert Bell Benefit Bowl that ostensibly was for third place in the NFL with the 2 second place teams involved. I remember watching them but from what little I recollect (hey, I'm 75) they were nothing special. I know Vince Lombardi was rather vocal in his dislike for the game. I doubt it would be much different today. Also, what would the players want to participate? I read the Pro Bowl winners got $67,000 and that was for a game of touch. After a long season and bitter disappointment in not getting to the Super Bowl would they really care about 3rd place?
i’m a pats fan but that first to score a touchdown overtime thing fucking SUCKS. it is really a crime to have the chief-pats game basically decided on a coin toss...
maybe goodell can fuck up the game further by letting overtime in the super bowl be decided just by which division won the all star game...
Why wouldn't it be science? He applied the scientific method (granted, not completely soundly, but for a ten year old, really good) and put together a good poster in roughly the same format as my post-doctoral posters. And he put together an amusing enough final product that he made the news. Not too shabby if you ask me.
And where did it say he was in a public school??
It's just as good as the science the NFL used to "prove" the Pats cheated.
lol. i’ll drink to that.
i’m sorry. that’s just some stupid shit.
of course it is public school. if it was private school he would be doing a “scientific experiment” showing global warming doesn’t exist because he hates science.
nice. i used to live across the street from that place when it was still the Heffenreffer Brewery and still in the hood...
well. cmon dude. first off posting that link is kind of weird but saying it is based on the scientific method or is similar to your post-doctoral students just seems bizarre.
but i see you've spent some time in eastern canadian provinces so you must be doing something right...
Take a deep breath, step back, and come to the realization that you're criticizing a ten year old's science fair project and how well he applied the scientific method in an NFL thread in a motorcycle forum. A 10 year old. Cmon dude.
Not to be all CSM here, but the politically correct term is "climate change." Especially after the last few days.
man. woah. don’t go down another rabbit hole.
first off i was criticizing public schools for counting that as science. even at 10 you would think he would have had more guidance. second i was criticizing you for then defending it by saying it was scientific method and then mentioning your postdoctoral students.
I deleted my initial response to your last post because in the end, this says it better
