The BBAC is a two day event. The main route is a big bike friendly tour of scenic dirt and country roads. Please note that this ride is designed for Adventure bikes (i.e. GS 800/1200, KTM 990, etc) and Dual Sport thumpers (i.e. DR 650, DRZ 400, WR250R, etc).
This ride is not for 2 stroke enduro bikes.
There are optional hero sections made up of rough woods roads for properly equipped bikes.

Team Work Makes the Dream Work
For the first time in Berkshire Big Adventure history, we are providing GPX (GPS eXchange format) to participants for nav. We encourage rider teams of four, not to exceed eight, with at least one of those riders having a GPS on board, that is also well versed in GPX, and can pickup your bike without assistance. : ) Along with the traditional BBA route, our goal is to also challenge the most experienced riders.

ADV Route – Two day main route is a big bike friendly tour of scenic dirt and country roads

ADV Challenge Route – Two day route over dirt roads, unmaintained dirt roads and fire roads.Route will traverse Hero II's and III's.
Knobby tires and previous technical dirt experience recommended

ADV Super Hero’s – The ADV Challenge Route with optional Hero IV's and V's. Think of this as a Berkshire Triple for Big Bikes.
Expect to be picking your bike up, and it's anyone's guess what the mud will be like. Ride with your team and expect the worst. Sections catering to well maintained bikes with aggressive tires.

First Time Mass OHV Registration - Since all bikes need to be street registered for the event, your registration is proof taxes have been paid.

So am I reading that without full-on knobbies (TKC-80's and the like), a rider would not be "allowed" to ride either the challenge and/or super hero route?

The goal is to get Big Bike hero sections typical of small bike hero's you'd find on rides like the Classic, the Triple B or Somers Fun Run.

Most likely we'll be able to include sections that experienced riders can do no matter the tire, but putting it out there that this years goal is to include sections that haven't been seen in many years. Think of the challenge portion as a Triple B for big bikes.

As for Roll Charts, the routes are going to be GPX'd first and charted if time allows. We'll do our best to get doable trail sections cleared and charts made in a short spring timeline.

Yes, a large motorhome will fit. Assuming the ground isn't saturated, there should be room even if the couple RV spots are taken.
A good portion of the property is flat with lots of room to maneuver. Once registration opens we'll have a better idea on how much non-tent camping space we'll need.

Tent or camping in the back of a pickup, do we need to serve sites or is it like the previous start/camp field?

Reservations are only needed if you want to bunk inside. Both bunk houses have bathrooms and showers.

The new facility is the same as the old one, except we have hot showers, real toilets, tent spots are flat and a dinning hall to hang out if there's inclement weather.

Wait, if the super hero route is going to be a bit much even for a 690 does that mean I should bring a plated 2-stroke if I want to ride it? :confused

    Sorry, should have been clearer.
The challenge route including the super hero's are doable on the 690. All the sections will be pre-ridden on a 950 Super Enduro.
