    THANKS for the tips!

    I won't be there, but say hello to David Bensadoun (ALDO driver) from his Sonora Rally friends. We took him out to the massive Sonora dunes for testing and training in 2014.

    I can't say who I'm helping with this particular shakedown activity, but he's a regular contributor here on ADV. I'll probably make a short roadbook for this area, and hope there are no fences or other serious dangers there!

    So you're saying a shakedown path something like this in the "Asia" area is allowed by ASO and he won't get in trouble from the local ranchers?

    Ha! Months ago we helped ALDO RACING to secure hotel rooms at our same hotel! And safe parking just one block away. Small world!

    Gents, does anyone have the EXACT ADDRESSES (or nearby reference) for the scrutineering (by the Air Force Base?), the Village (Miraflores?) and the Ceremonial Start/Celebration?

    As a non-Spanish speaker, I'm not sure how to direct taxi (or Uber for that matter) to locate these places tomorrow.... I've see a few maps of some of these locaitons, but none seem to be detailed enough to show street names, etc..

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Anyone recall where the bivouac was around Arequipa last year? thought it was at or near a military base.

    THX Myway! Computing what we had already calculated (and explored on moto) of Stage 2 with this info to get some timing on the ASS. Pretty much have it nailed down with (2) possible ways to get back into it (Rally Navigator roadbooks pre-made) in case the one that is being used as the exit transit is bocked by police.

    @Myway you are amazing.
    thanks to your directions I was able to easily find scrutineering and have and absolute blast watching the cars, trucks and bikes get over analysed by the ASO.

    Question do we know where is the ceremonial start? In parc ferme on the beach in Magdalena, using the same arches from the Dakar Village?
