Hey all! Just about time for the 2019 Desert 100 in Odessa, WA! Biggest race in the NW! A copy of this year’s flyer with basic event info is located below. How many inmates will we have out there this year?!? Oh and BTW, this year is looking like it will be dust free so get your bikes prepped for some great conditions!!!

So, getting a bike prepped for this year will involve something like this?

Thanks, Roach! You could come out for the party or we are always looking for volunteers to lend a hand. We’ve had snow on the ground at the 100 before. Never stopped us then, won’t stop us this year either!

Hey Roach, we can tag-team the adventure class race on my 950 since it has buddy pegs. I'm thinking we can switch positions every 5 miles? The louder i scream, the faster you better ride!

*it might be a bonus to ride 2 up if the snow is deep....you know, an extra person to help push.

First D100 in history with a Ural taking the overall! Unfortunately (for spectators) I don’t think the snow (it present at race time) will require 2wd.

Lets hold him to that. The snow in my yard is melting fast.

If there is dust I’ll give any inmates an extra “go gettum!” and a slap on the rear when you come through my poker run or race checkpoint to keep you motivated :clap How’s that for promises!!!

Yes, we will announce on the RADE/GARAGE Facebook soon. He will arrive on the 1st, stay at my house - we got a guy that will drop off his EXC, we will mount the Rally kit and go over on Thu. All fees are paid and we are ready to rock&roll

Normally I remove the EVO6 screen from my 950 for when I ride hard (so I don't break it). Maybe I should leave it on this time for the great Rade? Have him smuggle a few extra screens into the US when he comes. That way if I blow mine up, I can easily buy another one right there on the spot.

I hope I can get my truck back from the body shop in time to make this event. @Big Tall Bastard keeps extolling the radness of this event. I've never been and I'm excited to give it a go.

A few questions I didn't see listed out in the FAQ. If we already have OMRA numbers and plates; can we use those?
As a progressing intermediate; I'm unsure of what class to enter. I run Amateur 30+ in OMRA. I see for the D100, there's also a 250 class, in addition to the 30-39 class. What's the difference?

You're given a bib with a number for the race. So any numbers on your bike will be fine and wont be used for the event. But they will be useful for finding yourself in photos later on.

The 250 class will be ALL ages. I'm pretty sure the Age classes can run whichever bike they want.

    Cool, thanks.

So maybe the better question is in which class would I be less of a back marker?
