not a new rider by any stretch of the means, yes, he had his own insurance, and id given him a bill of sale and signed the release of liability, but title is still in my name "technically" until i get title from HD. but I'm not liable for anything.

still unsure of what exactly happened, and i have not called his wife yet, I'm sure she's dealing with enough.

It’s two weeks old and has taken a fair bit of mental processing. I’m all good. I could have done nothing to make the outcome different. Still quite a surreal “this shit only happens in movies” feeling.

that said, I’m not exactly rushing out and buying another bike right now, I had made a deal and booked a flight I was supposed to go last week for a super tenere, but I squashed that deal and the seller (another inmate) graciously refunded my deposit. I wasn’t, and still am, not in the right frame of mind to wanna ride. Probably not forever, but definitely for the time being.

May I ask why you decided to sell it?

I have a 16' Electra Glide Ultra that I bought pre-owned in 18' as my first Harley. Most of the time its sits in the garage because its easier for me to grab one of my other lighter bikes and perhaps I would ride it more if I did a tourpak quick detach kit on it to cut down on the weight
Also the touring dream has been for the most part quashed due to the pandemic

took it for a 1200 mile loop, and it was giving my knees the feeling of, explosion. not wanting to spend 100's or 1000's trying to get a more "feet under" my ass, i sold it. i really thought it would be a great fit, but over about 50 miles.... no dice.

@silverbandit1 take off the tour pak & passenger seat (if it’s two piece or you have a solo) and do some riding. I love the looks and handling of my Road King with police saddle. Before that I had. K1200LT. When I removed the trunk I enjoyed riding it much more.

The longest single day ride for me was 500 miles - I may get a different seat to scoot me back a bit and also a better rear shock

One of the reasons I enjoy the Police Solo. Opens up the knee bend a lot.

I wasn't telling you what to do just commenting on what works for me. I hate the low riding stuff Harley supplies with new bikes.

I’d thought about it, but realizing how tall it makes the seat and my reach issues already, wasn’t gonna happen.

doesn’t matter anyways, the bike has been sold, and subsequently totaled.

Finished up the C dynamics tail light install. I thought that I had ordered the “tail, brake and turn” wiring harness/adapter the first time around. Got it in the mail yesterday and installed this morning.
So, everything is plug and play and totally reversible.
I went from amber turnsignals to red running brake and turn. With the added bonus of strobe on brake.
Also received the Cobra backrest for the girls.
I’ll get pictures after she has a bath.

Very interesting. Which model of Hagon's are you running? I have a set of Hagon Nitro's for my Switchback, wonder if they would transfer over to a Touring platform. Did you have to get them resprung for the additional weight?

I had my hagon nitro shocks sprung heavy (for my weight) by hagon, and they went on directly with the same settings, and seemed totally fine.

I think the leverage point is different between touring chassis (shock at end of swingarm) and dyna (shock kinda middle of swing arm)

I emailed hagon, and they said I should be good to go. It did take one of their supplied 1/4” alloy spacers on each bolt, between shock and chassis/swingarm

I just a police EG on the HD forums. Any idea what the cost on this is, and what would I gaining/losing as compared to an EGS?

As to the gaining, from what I saw...
    114 motor
    Chrome vs polished aluminum
    Other?
