This might be a nice weekend getaway. The satellite image of the camping area looks like it’s got a top of tree cover. Is hammock camping allowed there?

There is tent camping, so a hammock should be fine.

Never seen an aligator in Lake Chatuge! They stick to lower coastal areas in Georgia.

There are trees in the camping area, but I don't remember them being "hammock friendly". Fairgrounds are beautiful, roads are fantastic and the folks who attend are the best.

I'll be there and plan to ride at least a couple of the paved routes I have. They do have some dual sport rides, but I haven't been on them, but who knows, this year I may get off the pavement(first time since my spill).

Anyone want to get together for dinner Thursday evening or at least get together to say "hello", maybe have a beer and a cigar?

I'm down if I can get my registration to go through. Can't get a link to pay. Otherwise, I will be riding my ATAS up from Central FL, and tent camping.

You can always register on site. If you register online, you still have to check in to get your "goodies".

The weather looks a lot better than it did last Wednesday. Was 70% chance or rain Friday and Saturday. Now only 20% on Saturday. We usually get evening showers at the rally.

This was my first Georgia Mountain Rally. I must say it was very well run and was alot of fun despite of the rain. The food was good and the steak cookout was brilliant. I could have done without the Canada geese party all night long. I IMG_2346.jpg IMG_2348.jpg will plan on attending this one again next year. Thanks to all involved on putting this event on.
