Discussion in 'Central – From Da Nort Woods to the Plane States' started by IBAJIM, Jan 26, 2019.
I'll be mailing everyone's receipts and memory card tomorrow.
Thanks for all the work and the heads up.
Thanks Jim and Rich....another great ride with you as always... :)
Here are some photos of the Friday evening scene
Here are some pictures of the day of the ride
Just curious - was that the gas station in the Soo in the pic ??
So, Ishi moved down to a Burgman 200 (from a Burgman 400) ? Maybe Ishi was starting to feel too much like an avaricious American - with all of that excess displacement.
Congratulations to all participants ! That is a challenging ride with lack of high-speed interstates, coupled with photograph requirements, and potential deer strikes.
I think it was St. Ignace. My recollection was that when I got to the station in the Soo, I just missed everyone and filled up myself. When I got to St Ignace, I was surprised by the number of bikes there. Brian and Doug were taking a break off to the side and I joined them for the St. Ignace to Iron Mountain stretch.
Completed the video version of the ride report today.
has anyone gotten the cert from IBA yet? just not sure how long to wait before it is a problem and I need to contact them :)
There was an e-mail a week ago saying the certs should start being mailed out this past week. I am hoping to see mine this coming week.
Haven't seen mine yet, and I double checked, I did indeed send the money via Paypal, so it should be all set.
Try and forget about it, then you can be excited all over again when this unknown package shows up in your mail
Got the Cert package last night....thanks all for another great ride :)
Got mine today, after receiving a call asking if they had my correct address. Having recently moved, it didn't match what they had on file. But that is strange because they mailed a ToH SS1K to this address earlier this year. But it is nice to know there are real people behind the organization taking care of things.
Certificate arrived today. 8 weeks from day a ride.
Certificate and everything else came yesterday. Happy to say I am now an official member of the iron butt association.
Sticker looks nice on the old bike
Now I want to try the 1500 miles in 36 hour bun burner.
Very cool video !! Thanks Mark !!
Got my cert a few days ago, too. The paperwork included shows all the Riders are listed as Finishers.
BTW - Mark your calendars for next year ( June 20th , starting & ending in the Soo
