You have a 5mm clearance near the radiator but that’s the only spot that it gets a little tight. Reached out to tekmo and they confirmed 5mm clearance was correct. Have not had any issues with the new header after to long trips on the highway to the burbs of chicago. The bike rips!

Trust me, you won’t miss the DRZ after you ride your new 690. Enjoy!

I'd like to know this too please.

Also, has anyone measured the handle bar diameters at the triple clamp versus at the controls? I don't have a slide ruler and I'm looking to get some Ram mounts for phone and camera. Thanks.

Also, many KTM dealers will have a set of the axle sliders in stock since they have been in production for so long. I got my dealer to throw in a set for buying bike and I bought the other set. $40 saved!

    Just picked mine up tonight.

You guys got tool kits with your bike, right? I took off the seat and left fairing piece and the space where a tool kit would according to the manual is very empty on my bike.

But here's a pic from the shore of Lake Ontario.

Yes, you should get a tool kit. It was in my briefcase along with manual, stickers, etc. You should also get a box of parts like the passenger pegs, bolts for when you remove the hand guards etc.

Not usually included, but my dealer gave me a bar stool. :)

    Well what the sh*t.

I got the briefcase with manual, etc. but none of the hard parts there.

Head back to the dealer! I'm sure they have it. I actually got a list of everything that is supposed to come with the bike from KTM.

I ordered SMC from a dealership in Kalamazoo and shipped to Chicago and got all of the stuff and a parts list.

Print out the list and circle every thing missing. I have no doubt they have it somewhere!
