Tire suggestions (KTM dirt bike)? I see mousses are not allowed. :scratch

    Room booked as well!

I am running a GT Fatty up front. (GT216AA) and a GT 333 in the rear... Not that this is a suggestion. I like the front tire for woods riding (never tried it in sand) and picked up the 333 for cheap on Black Friday.. .so guess that's what I will be running :ricky

I dont understand the Mousses rule...

Thanks for the reminder... Quality Inn. Booked.

As for tires, run what you're comfortable with. They won't keep you from winning and won't cause you to lose.

They do not have to be DOT so any MX/off-road tire is at your choosing.

I've run Duneloops (AT81's) in the past and might run a Dunlop/Pirelli mix this year.

As for the mousses, don't get us started.:patch

If you're entered on a 2 stroke, you can run a mousse

Nobody camping? I'm going to make a camping reservation tomorrow. I'm having some surgery Friday, so depending on how that recovery goes, will dictate whether I'm racing or not. If I'm not riding, I'll volunteer. If I'm riding, the war department might tag along this year, which means I've gotta set up the Taj Mahal tent, will have 2 vehicles, etc. If I'm volunteering, anybody is welcome to share the site.

    That's it, I'm selling the 500 for a 300!!!!

I would much rather camp (as long as it doesn't rain too much) but like you, my war dept is coming along and the troops demand nicer accommodations.

I'll still need to get some miles on Thursday iffin anyone wants to tag along. fwiw that's the same day as BC's class.

We're at the state park this time; my logistics department informed me Cooper Black was booked.

Cooper Black was my plan as well. I didn’t realize it would fill so quickly. I think I looked a couple weeks ago and there was lots of availability...

I’m guessing the state park is Cheraw?

Yes, Cheraw State Park. It's actually a little closer to town than Black, but isn't free Saturday night.

It might just be it's not available Wed through Sunday like I need a spot for.

It shows booked on the website because the rally has to reserve all of the sites. You have to call them directly to get a spot. I’ll call tomorrow.

Mousse rule is because car mousses are absurdly expensive and they have pit crews who can change their tires quickly and easily (relatively anyway) vs. moto who tend to be one man crews where everyone pitches in and helps each other (at best). And... it's mostly car guys who make the rules and there aren't enough moto guys involved in organizing (and, presumably, paying for things) that they need to change the rules.

Two stroke rule is because two strokes are the fruits of the devil and smell bad and are loud and make spectators complain. And there are no 2t cars.

A wankel is a 2 stroke. No one can convince me otherwise.

I've not much ground to stand on...

Not sure what I'm going to take (or honestly, if I'm going to compete). If I'm on my 950SE, it'll pretty much be me roosting the piss out of sweep if I can keep it out of the trees / on the wheels... But I'm terrible.

    Here's my current options...

I called today, but didn’t get an answer. I’ll assume they are off for the holidays. I’ll call again tomorrow.
