Here are two things I highly noticed from week 6, not to mention the lions getting robbed like misery goat mentioned:

-Darnold has the longest play from scrimmage this year after missing three games because he was sick apparently

-PATRIOTS DEFENSE I MEAN COME ON (have to agree with some people about Belichick's play this season-it’s good but not that great)

Anyone want to catch me up on other big highlights for this week?

You're right that it's not all on him, how many years of playoff chokes under norv Turner did he have and those were good teams.

My comments are more along how he is always whining about everything, grabbing that guys shoulder pads at the end of the game showed his typical personality. I wonder how many more years he has, I dont think he'll ever make it to the superbowl.

The Chargers gave up on Eli Manning and Drew Brees. They couldn't get it done with superstars like Ladainian Thomlinson and Shawn Merrimen, but they got pretty damn close. edit: Almost forgot about Junior Seau. What a stud he was.

IIRC, Eli refused to play for them and demanded to be traded.

They did have talent and there was a few years they were really good till they choked in the playoffs all the time.

Correct. The trade was forced because he felt the owner didn't want to win and wouldn't allow Eli to reach his potential. Manning didn't view San Diego as a legitimate football town.

Yup. Flat out told them he didn’t want them to pick him.

I guess Eli's Super Bowl ring is looking good to him about now.

Must suck cheering for a team who's GM can't find a QB and has built a really bad offense.

Well, looks like this didn't work. Now that I'm in Poland, there are no games that I can watch on Yahoo Sports. Looks like I won't be watching any more football this season. Sigh.

This is really a long, deep hole to go down. Are you sure you want to go there?

Can it be any deeper than the line of horrible bronco QBs? It's one thing to find a guy that's mid pack level that can manage games but it seems they csnt even do that.

The big thing is take the super bowl team out of the equation and would he still be there if he wasnt their old QB?

One - or two - look better than the number that Brees owns.

I always liked Eli - and I'm a Cowboys fan. I never understood the hate for him.

Ahhhh, but Brees has one too. Just not with the west coast organization.

If he didn't win two Superbowls, I think he would have been canned long ago. He was average at best, and other than his two SB runs, was abysmal in the Playoffs. Couple that with his infamous pouty face when things didn't go his way, and it made it so fans just didn't care for him.

Highly overrated, because of his last name.

As a Pats fan I am of course an "Eli hater"- with good reason! But I think the poor guy does get more hate than he really deserves. IMO this is at least partially because he had to follow in Peyton's footsteps, and Peyton somehow did an excellent job selling himself as both a great QB and also as a very funny, humble, kind-a-goofy, "guy next door" who everybody loves. Eli's persona is not the same and I think that costs him favor.

He has as many rings as his older brother even though Peyton is a sure fire, first ballot HOF'er.
