No, he hasn’t said that he wants to be the highest paid qb. They’re not arguing about money, it’s contract length. Dak wants a shorter length contract so he’d be able to do a new one again when he’s 30.

There's a lot of talk around here of Brady getting signed by the 49ers. I can't see it, because I think that the window for Brady is maybe one or two more years. For Garrapolo, the window is much longer. However, the 49ers are a team that is built to contend now, and they may not have time for Garrapolo to fully mature as a QB.

As great an athlete and quarterback that Brady is, my prediction is that he will flop anywhere he signs other than NE.

Of course, I have been wrong before.

How much of that weed bag did you smoke?

The Niners would win two super bowls and Brady would retire.

He'd have protection, a running game, viable targets and one of the best defenses in the NFL. Kinda looks similar to the run he had earlier in his career with Dillon and Moss and the best LT in the game, with a very good defense to boot.

It would be like......I dunno.....waking up with a super model every day?

Did you check his drivers license? He will be 43 when the season starts. If he is with a new team, that means he will have to learn a new system, plus coaches and players after playing with only one head coach his entire career. His play has definitely declined a bit. How much more can his body take?

I will stick by my prediction. He will have a few fine moments but 8-8 is the best anyone can hope for signing him. If he was still viable, New England and Bilicheck wouldn't let him leave.

But as previously mentioned, I have been wrong before.

He could be a very short term solution for a team that needs to get over the hump. I could see that he'd be a viable option for Tennessee or SF where they are 90% there, just need a steady hand at the QB position. The problem would be that the 49ers would need to give up their projected 10 year QB (Garapollo) to get a 2 year guy which I can't see happening. Also, I wouldn't think that Brady would want to go to a project team such as the Raiders or the Chargers.

So the 49ers get Brady. Then what, they have to shop Garapolo. Because he will feel betrayed and not be motavated to play for the 49ers. So now you have to draft someone young to replace Brady when he retires in two or three years. Nope, doesn't make sense for the 49ers. It would make sense for a team that has no quarterback, or is looking to get rid of theirs. Like Miami, Cincinnati, Chicago, Tampa Bay or maybe Jacksonville. But not San Fran.

Looks like you are correct. Brady is heading to Tampa Bay. Phillip Rivers (not Brees) to the Colts. Famous Jameis is likely gone as is Cam Newton. Teddy Bridgewater signed with the Panthers.

I looked for the 2020 NFL thread but didn't find it.

Lots of changes coming this year. Players being released, signed by new teams, NFLPA deal, upcoming draft.

Could this be the Cowboys' year?:lol2

Cam Newton would look good in a ‘Skins jersey.

Anyone interested in taking the NFL post forward for 2021? I'm ready to pass the crown and the scepter to the next inmate.

I'm not counting on a 2020 season either.
