So far, I'm pretty happy with John Lynch as GM. If it gets Jed York out of the football decision making process, it's a good thing.

Never been a Drew Brees fan but will admit he is a really rare person in the NFL that wants to help people out and has. What he is standing up for now made me a really big fan of his.:freaky

Is it? As a combat veteran, I find kneeling for the flag tone deaf. It's disrespectful. Protest literally a thousand other ways.

I absolutely detest what was done to Mr. Floyd. I support BLM. I don't support kneeling for the flag.

Why is this so hard to understand.

I also agree that black lives matter however I don't understand the movements request that the police should be defunded.

Read the story or watch the film about Brian Banks. (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3920820/). In his story, you can see how the police, the DA, an incompetent public defender railroaded a promising football player. He ended up getting 5-10 in prison for kissing a girl.

Thanx for the reply and that ain't right either and I sympathize. But I still don't understand an answer to either of my questions.

I hope the whole league takes a knee for every game.

And since when is a flag more important than doing the right thing?

Drew Brees might want to take a knee first chance he gets. Maybe start the season 2nd and 12.

The flag and national anthem stands on its own. All Americans should show respect for our country. It is not an either or. What 'right thing' are you speaking of?

I won't respect the flag or anthem until the gov't respects all its citizens.

You sound like a typical brain washed American. Watch Faux Nuz or ex-military?

I would agree with this for the most part, but there's also a caveat that the country should be deserving of our respect.

The government does for all of its citizens. It even does for people that are here and not citizens. Since the NFL doesn't want it's players kneeling and this social distancing thing, I wonder if there will even be a season.

Oh yeah...social distancing is no longer a thing. Protests and riots make it ok.
