TB has added a ton of offensive weapons, but how is their defense?
Questionable, still. I think it will be a weird season.
"I think it will be a weird season."
That seems a sure-fire given considering how f'ed-up the rest of 2020 has been! Likely, it will prove to be a gross understatement (as teams lose players in droves due to injury from lack of training and covid etc.).
Though I am an avid sports fan, I just can't muster a lot of interest in any sports this year (MLB, NBA, NFL or even my beloved NHL) due to the impact of the pandemic on these games. Though I am academically interested in how Brady does this year with Tampa's offense, and am curious about how Cam will do under BB's guidance (and the race to see if Cam, due to his poor decision-making, will get fired or will cause BB to have a coronary). But I will find it difficult to take any results from this "season" seriously.
Honestly him leaving and going to another team is one of the biggest draws for me, thou I might wait a few weeks in before watching any games.
I dont have any packers stuff, dont want to give 1 penny to anything NFL related as I'm sick of their greed.
Fan less sports is really hard to watch on top of a lot of other stuff, lots of people I know that are diehard football fans are not that interested for this year. Talking with my one uncle today theres a very good chance next year will be the first in 50 years we will no longer be season ticket holders for the Packers.
Packers season tickets is something that once lost, there can be a long wait list to get back on. When the GS Warriors were in Oakland, the season ticket wait list is well over 24,000. Lots of people needed to die before you had a slight chance of getting season tickets.
When my dad was born my Grandma put him on the list, he was 48 when he was able to get 2 tickets, we also have 4 that were my Grandparents. Reality is my uncle sells more games to ticket king than the family actually uses, 2 years ago I couldnt give the last 2 games away.
But, it is the packers. You just can't do that, it is unthinkable.
The NFL is back! Tonight is the Houston Texans at the Kansas City Chiefs. Whoya got?
KC by a td late.
They made that look too easy.
Don't make them out as all greedy, some players have donated large sums of money and used their fame to raise more. Drew Breeze donated 5 million dollars to corona relief, and I'm sure he has been involved in many charities since he's been playing, and for the last draft the NFL donated 100 million to covid.
Brees is truly a man among boys when it comes to stepping up and supporting the community around him, fun how they wanted blood when he made a simple comment.
The honest truth is all sports revolve around money, its #1 before anything else. How many times do we see players sit out demanding a new contract because someone now makes more than they do. We the fans are getting priced out of going to games, it's a family thing but at Lambeau a family of 4 will pay $600 to go.
I dropped my lions season tickets 4 years ago, it wasn't so much the money as it was how much I was working. When you are only getting sundays off I hated committing 8 hours of that day on one football game.
And it was the Lions. They have been squashing hope since the days of Barry Sanders.
Much longer than that.
Brady and the Bucs are getting smoked.
"Getting smoked"? Define "Smoked". The score is 24-17 with 14" left in the game.
It wasn't when I posted.
