I managed to resist for three full days from the announcement, but I knew it wouldn't last. I put my name down for a R1250GS this afternoon. No specific ETA yet, pricing is still fuzzy as packages have changed. I'm ready to begin beta testing as soon as it get's here, I'm hoping October.
I'll settle for insane and biased - still better than most of the "journalists" who are sucking down free port in Portugal...
Speaking of which, I am kinda pissed I missed the intro by a month. I was in Portugal (for the 5th time). Portuguese Police Bike at Boca de Inferno.
I'm slightly biased toward the HP, it will be interesting to see what they get. My understanding is the HP is +750. That would be up 150 relative to the Rallye option.
I'm curious on the pricing. I'm assuming the '19 will go for sticker, want to see what kind of deal can be had on an '18. We'll see what incentives Oct brings - hope the '19s hit the floor then as well.
Deposit down. Only question Rally or regular GS with spokes of course. Wonder if my '14's Tractive suspension will fit. It appears that the chassis are the same. So exciting!
On Friday my salesman was able to price out an exclusive model. Fully loaded it was exactly $500 more than the fully loaded 2018 Exclusive on the floor
Decisions, decisions: Do I wait for the Adventure? Do I trade in my 09 GSA and 08 K1200GT? Do I buy a new GS or 18 iPhone XS Max's?
Uh oh. I did't think it would be that long. If it's June I'm taking my GSA off the market for a while, can't have an empty garage.
Sorry as I’m not familiar with BMWs build schedule. Are you saying it’s build week 6 of 2019. Or are you saying that the build week N puts mfg out in June 2019 timeframe.
My apologies for misunderstanding. I'm an idiot who happens to live in the US where I and many of my idiot peer group see 6/2019 and think June 2019. Assuming week 6, that's still March by the time it gets to me, so I still would need to hang on to the GSA.
