LOL It makes the one I worked on personally, plus the dozen or so in this thread alone.
My shift pedal is sticking! Any suggestions?
I’m on a road trip, currently in steamboat springs. The shifty has 3600 miles. For the past 400 or so the shifter will stick, sometimes in the up position, sometimes in the down. Sometimes not at all. No rhyme, reason or pattern. Shift pedal since mile 30 is motech adjustable.
Almost always it is dirt in the linkage. Easy to clean and lube. Do much off road or water crossing?
Thanks Jim. Getting the wd40 out of the tools. I’ll hit everything I can get at. Weird whenever I sit next to it and push by hand I cannot replicate.
Pay particular attention to the pivot bolts. Could be one loose too.
Discovered Mounting bolt was loose couple of days ago. Tightened it twice, no change in the sticking. Doused everything in wd. Helped a little. Hopefully another round will help for longer.
I swapped mine as well and love the black!
Get the black one. I have the blue one and I get a lot of compliments on it. I like that I don’t see many blue ones. The dealers won’t re-order the blue if they don’t sell....
WTH, you left us all hanging. So, was it black or blue...the anticipation is killing us!
Ok, so you two are oddities
The hotel I’m staying at for the MOA rally has a 1250 GSA that’s swapped out the gold for black wheels and black hand guards.
I think when HP Shifties started trickling down for delivery, quite few inmates swapped Goldielock wheelz for Black ones - I don't recall the handles, but there were pics in this thread, some times back in Mar-Apr or so with one after another all HPs w black rimz... I remember the debate w Afrika Twin references etc etc...
I dunno… gold looks pretty badass. Along with white hand guards.
I have the Michelin Adventures and find them quite noisy. And vibration at speed. I am not impressed but I don’t ride off road. So think twice before swapping.
I do prefer black handguards.
Beautiful, this is what God intended all along!!
31 years ago almost to the day (June 17 1988) I rode a Kawasaki 1000 700 mi in a t shirt shorts and tennis shoes - no helmet - to annual training at Holloman AFB - and took a picture in that exact spot.
Flew jets in the morning, rode motorcycles in Lincoln National Forest in the afternoon, drank beer and chased girls at night. And had no idea that time would never be repeated.
Problem is it seems like maybe 10y ago -
Could the rider on the ocean blue be a Wan. . .?
