I'm surprised you say there's a boxer out there where the pipe's didn't blue. My friend took his off before it was ever started by the dealer when new and had the inside ceramic coated to prevent bluing .

    Pardon the unfinished shop.
Now just deciding what to do with it. I'm going to either wrap it or sticker the shit out of it. I'm not really digging the primer grey. I'm kinda upset that my tires didn't get put on last night. It was too late by the time the deal went through. Got an E07 for the rear and a anakee wild for the front. Going to get them put on next week when it goes in for the first service. 20190907_125828.jpg 20190907_125800.jpg 20190907_125751.jpg

This owner has a nice set and includes the beak, fender and also the fork sliders, but have no idea where to get them?

But also weird how my dads literally have no blue at all and mine are “custom” looking from all the blue lol

Just got back from my 4K mile trip. Before I left changed oil and it was at very tip top of site glass on center stand. Now it’s directly its about 3/4 of site glass. Is that normal oil usage? A lot fast highway riding if that matters and slow stuff too

On an Alaska trip this summer I stretched out an oil change to nearly 7k miles. At about 6600 a low oil warning came on, even though it was just under halfway in the site glass, so I added a little and it went away. The bike probably used 200ml of oil. I got the oil changed and the warning came on again the next day, checked it and it was right in the middle of the glass. I assumed it to be a faulty sensor. What I've found is that if it's below half on the glass at all, it'll give a warning. My '16 R1200RS didn't do that.

I'd say yes, during breaking in period... Mine settles at ~3/4 full after an oil change and remains at that level until next one... Just keep an eye for another 2K before next oil change and see if anything changes - you still have new bike that needs to be broken in so I wouldn't worry too much... Hex/Camheads were harder on oil usage than LC... :deal

so i hit a bird yesterday on my 1250 GSA.
    didn't notice it until today..

cleaned it out ok, from what i can gather i must have rode into it as it was flying, as the head was to the front wheel.

can anyone tell me if their 1250 GSA has anything on this little bracket / tab with the purple circle.
just wondering if i dislodged something or it's some sort of mount for the GS perhaps and left empty on a GSA.

just checking the bird didn't dislodge something..
there's a lot of wiring in there and everything seems ok..
    just curious about the "tab"

Nice!! Out of curiosity, is there are reason that LH crash bars (engine+tank) have plastic puck protectors asymmetrically placed than RH (all engine)??:D

Had to make some space for mounting the water bottle holder, I'll be adding one on LH side as well and organize them in the protruding areas to be symmetrical until better aftermarket options to the stock crash bars become available.

You may wish to check out AltRider. You can service your valves without removing the guards plus they as strong as my mother-in-law's breath:
