Great images, Dan! Followed you on Inreach because I'm a stalker... must have been great being out there! I am hoping to get out and ride more next year. Also, is it just me, or does Phil look like Tom Skerrit? Does Tom Skerrit ride a WR250?

    Nice pics, Sir.

For you guys sporting the Reckless 80 setup:
I don't pack all that much crap with me...but I want to be prepared to be cozy in a storm, filter water to a bottle or bag (not rely on a straw), make hot food and drink etc.

I have separate storage for tools, but tubes and compressor have always gone in panniers.

How do you like the rig? Can you pack a down bag, pad, and keep it dry? Backpacking tent and a couple days worth of food? Is it a pain in the ass to pack/unpack?

Reckless looks more compact and tight which I like. I'm always looking to make my load smaller and lighter.

Like to hear from some who've used this setup in real-world backcountry situations.

    I love the Reckless setup!
Was initially going to go with the R40 set but it looked to small.
The R80 comes with 2 big WP dry bags, 1 for each side, a 22 Liter dry bag for the top, a smaller 20L dry sack. a WP tent pole bag. Heat shield.
Each leg also has a dry bag sewn onto the back of the leg. Handy for tools and tubes. I added a 4 liter storage back to the molle loops on the front of each side leg. Had 2 1L fuel bottles in each.
3 straps fasten to your tail plate and one strap goes from each leg to the frame or passenger peg mount. Super easy to take the whole setup off the bike.
Takes a bit of getting used to, packing stuff. The dry bags are meant for stuffing stuff in.
I had 9-10 days worth of food, Sleeping bag, poncho liner, clothes, cooking stuff ,tools, tubes and tons of crap I didn't need Packed.
I used mine over my Tusk racks, but they are made to go over the seat/back rack and hang over your plastics.
I love the setup! Won't ever use anything else on my 690.

They can be found semi-used on the forums Flea market.
Here's the Mosko page , check it out.

    Whoops...thought I was in Maladjusted.
I'll carry on over there so as not to clog up this awesome thread.

    Thanks Dan.

    Heya Jonz!

Yeah, I'm still kickin', like a rented mule...

Come on over to the cabin, I'm here all weekend. I'll show you why I've been too busy to ride. The bar is up. The beer is cold.
