Interesting, I have been wondering if this was possible, not having been there, but only perused on google earth. What kind of depth we talking.

If you're referring to the Keeps Mill crossing of the White River,...it's not really possible by anybody I know or have ever met. It's 2+ feet deep, a raging white water current and 1-2 foot diameter boulders that poke out from the depths. These things will keep me safely ashore.

Appreciate the intel. Was looking at a route for a ride and that is good to know.

Lived in Rhododendron on the flanks on Mt.Hood for 20 years, rode a ton of the area, but never ran into Keeps Mill. One of the cool things is the area available to explore on a DS bike is so vast, you can always find new stuff.

I've seen a CJ Jeep with water flowing across the seats in that crossing. His buddy was winching him back out of it when we showed up. The current had washed him down stream against some rocks and they were pretty shook up.

It looks cross-able by some lifted/modified Jeep in a hold-my-beer moment, but he should def bring a sober buddy with a winch.

Don't let that stop any of you from going there, the fun and nasty steep grade down to the crossing on both sides of the White River here is absolutely worth the great bad road experience and beauty :nod
