Quality is great for sure. No signs of problems so far. I’m sure if the bike fell from full upright, they’d bend into the tank, but that’s a lot of weight to stop. Not sure if the aftermarket ones would fair any better... My main reason for them was to hang lights on...and I think they look right on the bike. I was in the same boat with my order, ended up paying just a little more and ordered them from www.africa-twin-shop.com/en/. They got here in a little over a week from France. I also have the lower guard on order from the US site, but they went full back order as well...might cancel and order those from France too.

It’s funny, I run the top case all the time and leave the side boxes for the big trips. Makes commuting and getting out of the tight garage much easier for me.

Oooff that was hard to watch those bikes hit the pavement. So it does exist, for sure.

Have that Outback Motortek kit on my bike. I won’t be tossing the bike on the garage floor if I can avoid it. 359CEE9E-6F65-4041-BCF6-21C5F1CE6F6F.jpeg

I want to keep my 2020 base model as light as I can so I am just doing the Touratech Engine crash bars and Barkbuster Hand guards. I really don't plan on doing much more then gravel/dirt roads and I just can't buy into the whole massive crash guard thing due to the weight and looks, hehe. The beauty of the AT is making it what you want though and I like to see how everyone sets up their bike!

How do you find the wind deflectors.
Do they work or make any difference at all?

i like the aluminum color anodizing on the front forks. a perfect match to my 2016 silver. soon i will be ordering the 2020 upper tubes to replace the worn-out anodizing on the junk oem.

found a chart but not a lot of info. can anyone help me select the part number for the silver forks?

I may not be up to speed on this but, are you sure the 2020+ uppers fit the pre'20 models? I know the '18-'19 ATAS uppers fit but I hadn't read anything about the 2020 uppers and as far as I know, they are not the same.
