Ride from PSR to Beatty for gas then a few short miles to Titus trail, then out the tail of it and home to PSR for a smaller tank bike.

Please add me to the waiting list. I'm a somewhat noob and would be interested to get into a motel/cabin/whatever with a shower.

Edit: I'm a little confused regarding the truck camping thing. is there a spot still available if I wanted to truck camp? sorry I just stumbled upon this thread and got super excited

    Piece of cake.
I'll go with you two on an nx250 or tw200, (4 ga Clarke), with a 2 ga Rotopax also.
That is a long ride for someone who is not used to it. You can take bikes to turnoff to Beatty and go from there, great fun.
    Titus on xt225

    C U there.

XT250 will work great. An option for you if it means you and your wife can both enjoy the ride together: you could truck to the parking lot / information kiosk area on Scotty’s Castle Road just north of the intersection of Daylight Pass Rd / 374. Would save roughly 40 miles of slab each way.

You could visit Rhyolite, loop thru Titus and maybe over to the north end of The Racetrack.

Whatever makes you and yours happy.

I’ve ridden a stock seat, short geared WR250F at a snails pace across the 190 on a cold winter’s night. Maybe not the best of ideas but I am goofy. Ymmv

lol I'm hearing a general consensus of "just ride the damn thing" and I agree.

Trucking over there to avoid slab sounds like an option. She's a trooper though, we've done 500+ mile days (on bigger bikes) so maybe we will just ride it.

I have a 1gal rotopax for some extra fuel, but maybe this is a good excuse to get a bigger tank on my wr250...

Count me in! I'll sleep in my truck, no trailer. I'll bring my bike in on a rack.

In response to all the questions I have been getting about the classes before the NooB rally:

First I want to thank the community because together we have raised $3000 that sits in a war chest waiting for the impending fight we are going to have in Southern Nevada when the BLM's Regional Management Plan comes out that could severely impact riding opportunity here. NooB riders are often fascinated by all the open routes and trails but as any old-timer will tell you, the amount of closure will become obvious as you watch it happen to your favorite trail.

The mid-week class was a little difficult and seemed to cause more issues than it solved. So we will be having a class the same weekend as the rally March 28,29, not the weekend before due to scheduling issues. But if you are really interested in getting to be a better rider before the rally, I suggest you take a class in advance so you can practice the skills you learn. For our class specifically there is no limit to how much you can improve but it mostly takes practice. (We just put the dates on our web site so there is still space in any of them.)

I will likely do a demo at the rally on Friday as has been the tradition where you can grab a nugget of information about some simple techniques to work on. That is the beauty of this event and I hope it continues to be a gathering place for new riders with questions that are answered by riders with experience.

If anyone wants a bit of extra fuel that packs small these fuel bags are good quality (Giant Loop makes some also) and inexpensive relatively speaking:
    https://desertfox.bike/desert-fox-5l-fuel-cell/

Shipping was quick out of Australia if I remember.

I got one for insurance on long loops on the Tiger 800, but now picked up a small bike that I put a 3 gallon tank on and with this extra 6ish L will have pretty good range.

I have the 6 l version. They are really high quality and make the Giant Loop stuff look silly.

They are made and sold directly from South Africa (we bought a bunch from FlyingBrick last year) but there is a steep cost for shipping. You need to buy 10 or more to make the price reasonable by splitting the shipping cost. They were here in less than 2 weeks.
