Oh that is looking sweet !! 121 hp too so no slouch at all !
Something tells me there won't be a 2020 1090. Glad I nabbed one.
You'd be surprised. The way KTM loves to narrowly split up all its models, I can see a 1090 still in the mix. And mind you, the 1090 is not a street bike; ADV only.
Me personal thought is that it fills a gap n for people who don't want all of the extra electronics, but who knows.
You're dead on. The 1090 is nearly the same weight as the 1290, minus the dash, the electronically controlled suspension, and the headlight.
1090 has been dropped in Europe, it's an obsolete model now, not available to buy new.
Just think, in a few years it will grow into a 990 Duke.
But not a Super Duke!
Kudos to KTM, subsequent models ususally gain wait. Ain't that right Yamaha?
Very easy to change oil on the 790
...and it has an option of CC. Brembos, WP suspension. Mmmmm...a great second bike.
...and easy to change air filter compared to the 1X90s
Looks really interesting
It also has optional QS and Track mode...which come standard on the 790. Well that is a way of keeping the base price down and everyone that orders the 890R will order both extra's so KTM is happy....
Brembo's too, I thought KTM was going to do all their calipers in house?
They were using some J Juan components, much to the chagrin of the ownership base. I'm glad they're using Brembo. J Juan calipers are not good.
Hey while the J Juan calipers are lower budget than the Brembo, I did not find them that bad doing track days.
