An S22 but I preferred the Power Cup. I'm going back to it.
Just liked the Michelin better or was there something you didn’t care for about the Bridgestone?
I find I like the feedback I get from firm carcass tires better.
My Ninja 1000SX came stock with S22's and they were great when new but I have noticed a substantial degradation of performance by 1500 miles with still a ton of tread life. The biggest downside for me is they don't like tar snakes which seem to multiply every year in Wisconsin. I will be replacing these tires very soon, far before they are used up.
The Michelin tires are great tires but the rear does wear quickly. My front should be good for 5 to 6k. I replaced the rear with a Conti Sport Attack and so far so good. They were priced quite well when I ordered them. $164 for the set from Dennis Kirk.
I just swapped in an Earth X battery yesterday. Totally necessary but farkles are fun. I think it weighs 2-3lbs and feels like a toy or display compared to the 12lb or so OEM battery. It is about .5 inches shorter but besides that, it fits in the battery box perfectly. I went with the ETX18F.
the same battery I put in my 890. Weight up high is an enemy.
I meant to say totally unecessary. I was not sure which one to go with and Earth X was not sure either and ended up recommending something much larger, just to be safe. I figured this is over the factory spec anyway so I should be fine.
So, I had a pretty hot run on Deals Gap (the Dragon lol), seemed to stick fine. Ill get another try Sunday. Still not sure ifni trust it like a Power Cup 2, but ill let you all know.
So, since this bike s 400lbs wet, I bought a 500lb rear hitch mount so I can put it on the back of my SUV or RV. I'll test it out for the first time on the back on my Class A diesel pusher that I'm driving down to FL this weekend. My brother-in-law wanted to ride with me when I get down there so I will see how well this Amazon purchase works. I mounted it last night and did a quick test fit. It is tight but seems to work. I'll post some pictures.
This should be a good setup for track days.
Took me a while to get back. I've pushed on these S22's pretty hard up on the Gap and elsewhere. There's not enough between it and the Power Cup 2 for me to change back. I'll continue on the S22.
Good to hear. I've been pretty happy with the set I put on my Kawasaki Z900RS, other than them wearing out faster than I expected.
Unless I have a long trip, I am gonna wear these out on the sides before the center gets much wear at all. That's ok... I got exactly 2k miles out of the PC2s, even if I get the same out of these, they're half the price.
Can you ride this weekend? I'm thinking about going down 28 to SC and back.

Carrier seems to work. Let's see if it holds up. Seems like a good way to take her with me.
After 3 years of enjoying the 790Duke I traded in for a 890DukeR yesterday.
Have the tech pack and heated grips installed. Swapped the clutch and ignition cover protectors from my 790. The bike is all I hoped it would be.
