Sounds like a 12 gauge and small shot might be in order for these mozzys
I recommend bringing along a few spare head/hat nets to sell along the way.
Say twenty or so...
People will pay any price for one if they are unprepared!
You could finance your entire trip if your timing works with a hatching and a few people going insane from the critters.
Bought tickets for Major Marine Tours 3.5 hour tour at 1:30 on July 10th in Seward for Ray and me. We are set!
Doing some planning for the trip and have a major item to deal with.
When I checked with the hospital booking I was told my shoulder replacment/rotator cuff surgery is scheduled for March or mid April.
If it is done in mid April I don't think I would be in shape to leave on the trip at the end of May
So I was going to see if I could get it pushed back to Sept.
So I saw my family doc yesterday
She told me to phone scheduling and explain the importance of the trip that has been planned for a year and see if I can get it set for March.
If I can get it done in early March she thinks I will be good to go in May with a new shoulder that will be a lot more pain free than the FUBAR one I have now.
Well I will give that a shot and see what happens.
Maybe both me and my bike will have some new parts for the trip.
Anyone here had a reverse shoulder replacement and if so how long before you were back riding ?
I may have to buy a side car -- a BIG! side car.
I think I will be good to go.
I would hate to see you riding in circles around the side car loaded with my fat ads.
Ops make that fat ass. Damn spell check got me again
Well I phoned the hospital scheduling and did some sniveling and I am getting my shoulder replaced on March 12.
Should be good to go at the end of May.
Will be hitting rehab real hard.
Had new bull ring tie downs welded on the utility trailer I used to transport motorcycles. I made a decision to replace my eye bolts after the last trip using the trailer when one of them started bending open.
I leave next Thursday to take Rita to Cogent Dynamics in Asheville, NC for a new custom suspension. Just getting the trailer ready.
Bought a Givi EA116 tank bag for Rita. Designed for the NC750x. Fits perfect. 10L. If you wonder why a tank bag if I have that front trunk "frunk" where the fuel tank is on other bikes ... my frunk is used for my aux battery.
Bought a Nelson Rigg CL-1060-S Sport Tail Bag CL1060S for Rita. I will be using it in lieu of a top box. I am trying to keep my weight low. 16 to 22 liters. Expandable.
I use twisted throttle as a source for parts but that’s not the reason I used their stickers on my side cases. They are the only ones that are reflective and in the shape of a caution triangle.
Sharp lookin' setup Greg.
Looking darn fine.
At Tim Tew’s suggestion I ordered an ez-touring cover. The thing is ... it rolls up into about the size of a water bottle. And they are made by a couple of ladies in Oregon. I bought size A.
I am staying in Point Mugu / Malibu for two days to ride Angeles Crest
and Mulholland Drive / Highway
Head up hwy 33 past Ventura and then past Ojai. Excellent road with no one on it! Then 166 to Santa Maria
Thanks. I'll add CA-33 to my plans. Last year it was suggested I take the Montezuma Grade over the Sierras and ride up S-2 (south grade) of Palomar Mountain to Mother's Kitchen ... loved these roads. I am staying two nights in Point Mugu State Park at Sycamore Canyon Campground. Probably wish I was staying three but I have a date with ProCaliber in Vancouver, WA.
