Parts are arriving daily that the owner has chosen with some guidance. We'll see how it comes together over the next 6 months or so.

    Stay tuned...

one of the previous builders said he would have bought a vx300 rather than go thru the build process of a cb500 in a crf250 frame.

I'm doing a scratch built frame to avoid the pitfalls.

    Looks fun!
Curious are you going to cut the OG Steering stem off the CBR to retain vin#?

Hey man, I don't know what your plans are with that KLR subframe, but I've got a stock luggage rack from a Gen1 KLR here if you need it. Cover shipping and it's yours.

I was looking at rack options today...

@oldbmw , what do you think? We could dress it up with a Happy Trail flat deck

We got a stock CRF250L shock to get us through mockup. Exploring options for something better down the road.

Got a ZX6R header to cut up and make headers.

    IMG_20191007_235443993.jpg

I really like how @sonic reducer made his headers and I'm going to try to copy it.

Also got a DRZ front caliper delivered today.

I'm planning to get the CBR500R on the frame jig this week assuming I can find some extra time.

Thanks for the donation to the build!
Can you include cost to ship? PM for zip etc.

Will be running a tail pack for day rides and a giant loop and wet bags for camping off bike and longer trips.

    That should work.
