I'm organizing another Iron Butt Association All Yooperland SS1K.

The ride will start & end in Sault Ste. Marie ( the "Soo" ) on June 20th.

For more info. goto : 2020 All Yooperland SS1K

There will be two other IBA rides also offered that day in the Soo. See : IBA Trifecta

EDIT: ( 3-20-2020 ) Because of the COVID-19 Virus, and the closure of the U.S. & Canada border, it looks like the Lake Superior SS1K and Ontario - Yooper SS1K rides probably won't be done since June 20th is only 3 months away.

But if the border is re-opened before then, all three rides will be run.

The All Yooperland SS1K ride will be run, either way

Please post any questions / comments here about the All Yooperland ride.

Thanks for starting this forum thread. It is nice to have one place to go for ride specific information. really hope I can make this happen. On the site it states that I need a blank digital memory card. Am I going to be required to take these pictures myself during the ride?

Welcome to the Forum Reddevil! You are correct, you will need a camera with the card to take pictures of 4 locations listed at the link below. This is done because there isn't any sort of 24hr business to obtain a receipt at locations 4-7.

Bummer. I’ll have to find someone to let me use their camera. I haven’t owned one since I got my smartphone.

You can get a used digital camera off Ebay for $10 including shipping . And a memory card might be another $10.

This will be a 24 hour SS 1K ride, according to the standard IBA format?

Yes, it will be a 1,010 mile ride that has to be done in < 24 hours. Besides receipts, pics need to be taken and the memory card handed in at the end of the ride.

Last year 30 Riders successfully did this ride.

This ride was the most fun I had on a ss 1K. Definitely worth the effort to get a digital camera if you don't have one in order to do this ride. If I wasn't trying to complete all the rides around the Great Lakes I would do this one again.

Definitely! June can't come fast enough. At least we can be back on our motorbikes now.
