Watched the first 30 commercials then turned it off.

    Too bad.

18 seasons with a win, ties with the great A J Foyt for that record.

Here in NZed we don't get most of the adverts. When an advert is running we just get commentary free viewing.

Saw all but the first 40 laps...

40 laps was about when I turned it off. It seemed to me that the racers were made to pit by lap 35 and change tires. Maybe I was hearing it wrong. At least they didn't throw a yellow so everyone can change tires at the same time.

Yep, Firestone screwed the pooch and 35 laps was the limit on the tires. Some short pitting but a lot of green flag stops kept things interesting. Pretty clean racing, a couple of rookies had issues. Felix screwed up in second with 10 laps left and ended his night, it was really silly. But at least he was trying to win.

The new windscreen didn't seem to cause any issues, I do not hate them. Over all not a bad race.

The 500pm news said Sato won with a Honda powered car......that is how much I watched as I rode my Super Tenere 200 miles today with a friend on a good ride.
