    Hi Joel-

The reason I am pushing for a ST race on the campground Tennis Courts is that I am a GPSless technophobe. Hoping good folks at the Rally will adopt me and allow me to tag along! Seems like a really great group of people and I look forward to meeting as many as possible and riding new to me trails. Have known/ridden/raced with Jimmy L. for decades. Hope he can be part of the festivities again this year!

Thanks for your work promoting motorcycling and ADVRider.

radbrad. you will have your chance to prove yourself in the baseball field. there's an excellent rider on a 990 from Finland who showed great skills in the competition every year, watch out for him. of course, Jimmy plants one or 2 of his teaching school aides to sandbag.

great you could join us. the Pahrump Rally is the sequel to the DV Noobs Rally. it is for everyone of all skill level, but Pahrump offers challenges to those who want to improve their skill level.

Jimmy L is instrumental in putting this rally on the board. he introduced me to the town officials and local businesses with the intention that we are helping the town's local economy and cottage industries, i.e. the chicken farms (j/k). Jimmy remains to be a big part of this event. I will convince Jimmy to hold another class prior to the rally.

For sure, could use some Jimmy Mojo. While I know him well, NO WAY do I claim to have Jimmy skills. Managed a few Holeshots in the day however, NEVER claim to have beaten Jimmy outside a Rodeo Arena!

Wont be proving myself anytime soon!

My 990R is all cleaned up and I expect to have worn out the worn-out knobbies on there by then. Maybe even have changed to street tires and back again.

We'll see how things go. I have not ridden any dirt since last September in Colorado. Still toying with a run to Texas and back to the CDR. We'll see how things work out.

    Pahrump is always fun. :clap

radbrad.. i read elsewhere you raised a son who became a 2-time Baja1k champion.....:bowthis alone is a great achievement.

Ken. i will be happy to see everyone again in Pahrump. we may have to do extra days to ride parts of Death Valley that we missed at this year's noobs.

how's the CRF450L coming along? i'm bringing the old iron XR400.

    Serge. Congrats on the move.

at least 5 people we know transplanted to AZ for the last 2 years. as for me, i am starting to like Pahrump....:tb

Joel, the 450 is as finished as it is going to get, other than finishing up my second set of wheels with taller gearing and 50/50 tires for those long trips. It's a winner in my opinion. You can take her for a spin in Pahrump! Extra days a great idea!!

It's been pretty quiet here since CV...

I've updated the first page with some sights of interest around the Pahrump area. Here's a few pics of the varied terrain you may encounter...
