After a long (no doubt corona related) delay in delivery, I’ve finally got it today. Has been a busy day so the pick up was rushed and hurried.
I’ve had no time riding it, just the journey from the dealer to home, all of about half a mile...
Pics and an opinion tomorrow when I’ve had a chance to actually ride the thing.

Thats a very nice lookin bike, good health to enjoy. I really like that subdued grey and black of the base model over the comedy xt colours.
Im sort of tempted for one as there cheap, 9k in Cupra motorcycle's in Scotland but a 33k mile 2015 one is hard to sell!

    “Comedy” vs boring (black/grey)

At least Suzuki gives both buyer types the choice.

It’s definitely a subdued sober colour, a total contrast to the bright and loud XT models.
So far so good, it’s a nice big comfy riding position, commanding view of the road ahead and it has road presence.
Totally different to my last bike, this is better in traffic with lots of steering lock and a great power delivery. Not used it above 4000 rpm as running it in but it still pulls good at these lower revs.
    Good job Suzuki!

Just wait until you can hit the 4-6k rpm range. For me, that is when the real fun starts.

Yeah I can’t wait to get the first service done and dusted.
Riding home last night from work did highlight one massive negative - the headlight is awful! anyone else think the same?
    Other than that it’s great!

I believe the headlight is fine. Just needs to be aimed correctly. It is simple to do. Mine was way too low from factory and I felt like I was riding in the dark.

My headlight on my DL1050 is great! Like every Strom I have had it needed to be adjusted. Adjusting is vey easy. There is one bolt under the beak that you loosen. Move the headlight up or down (probably up) and tighten the bolt. A 10mm socket works best.

Thanks, I’ll check that out tomorrow. My last two Vstroms which were 650’s had superb headlights hence why I was very surprised at this one. I’ll adjust it and see how it goes.

One question: Does your 1050 have the LED lights? I think the base model has halogen and I can't speak to how well they worked (although they were decent on my 2015 DL1000.)

I’m certain it has LED lights. I’ll check it later to make sure.

The base model has LED lights, the same set up as the XT bike.

Anyone have any major or minor failures yet? Warranty or non warranty work?

Anyone know specs on the Suzuki auxiliary fog lamps? They are supposed to be a Suzuki/PIAA collaboration. Want to get amber covers for them.

Any opinions on which engine map is the best?
My bike was delivered with the ‘B’ option map and I found that ok.
On the way home from work this evening I put it into mode ‘A’. Wow! So much sharper and more immediate as soon as you let the clutch out and give it just a whiff of throttle..
I’ll be leaving it in mode ‘A’ :-)
