Could be. I just got back from searching the entire world, including the Yamaha official site. Not one word about it.

They didn't photoshop the cylinder bigger, or even a sticker that says "500." Weak.

74hp - pfffft, I need at least 107 horses to pop a wheelie. True story.

Wet weight listed as 67.5kg, or 148.5lbs. Hmmm... :scratch

That has been circulating as a fake for about the last 2-3 years. There was a CR500 one out there for a while, too.

What is dirtbikelover.com? Their homepage doesn't look like a joke that somebody whipped up in an afternoon. Are we supposed to accept trolling by websites now, and keep going back? "Ha ha! Made you look!"

Wow, even comes with a muffler - not just a custom pipe but its own muffler. Wonder why.

I sat on one of the yz500s in the showroom but the wr450r was a better fit.

Not sure I understand what the question/problem is other than it fits and has been tested to work properly.

I'm just surprised a different muffler (with the extra expense) is needed, that's all.
The pipe itself I would expect.

Considering that the donor engines are either 250 or 300cc and they worked with fmf for the optimum set up I am not surprised that it needs more flow than those tiddler cans :-)
